Our sisters were busy at work this summer all around the world! Whether it be internships, jobs, or service work, aphi’s were turning their passions into action. Of course we love when our phis are on campus, but seeing them thriving and supporting others out in the real world is all we could ever want and more. Now, it’s the first week of school, and we couldn’t be more excited to empower our aphi’s in their endeavors across campus! Stay tuned🤩

Starting off this week’s with a COB spotlight from PC’24 Leah Song,

“Hiii, I’m Leah! I’m a junior majoring in nursing and joined Aphi last fall through cob.

At the time, I felt stuck in a nursing bubble and really wanted to branch out and meet new people. Since I didn’t go through primary recruitment, I thought it was “too late” to join greek life. But I soon found out about cob and decided to sign up!!

From the very first coffee date, the girls in Aphi made me feel so welcomed. We were laughing and talking as if we’d known each other for ages. Looking back, the process was not only fun and easygoing, but it also showed me I was wrong to think I missed my shot.

Since then, I’ve met some do the most amazing, hardworking, funniest group of girls at case western! If you’re currently considering cob, you should totally go for it!! You won’t regret it!”

AΦ Abroad Meetups!

As the school year rolls around we reflect on our sisters’ past semester studying abroad…aphi goes international!! studied in Dublin Ireland, in Manchester England, and in Madrid Spain. However, they did not meet up in their base cities and rather new locations none of them had been to before. Gabby met Abby in Budapest and the two journeyed by train from there together to Vienna. They hopped from hostels, saw historic sights and views, ate traditional foods, and met new friends. Towards the end of the semester, Maura and Gabby met up in Amsterdam to top off their study abroad experience. They boated through the canals, biked around the city, thrifted at vintage stores, and played cards at every stop of the way. Sisterhood transcends way beyond cwru campus…”home is wherever the heart is, and seeing sisters abroad brought that warmth, safety, and comfort of home in completely unknown places.”💌 - Gabby Wolf ‘26

“Heyyy!! I’m Sadie, a rising junior majoring in biomedical engineering. One of the coolest things about our chapter is how involved each of our sisters is on campus. Outside of Alpha Phi, I am a member of Case’s women’s soccer team and serve as the president of the engineering fraternity Theta Tau. Being apart of Theta Tau has helped me better understand the importance of ritual and community within greek life, especially through its three pillars: brotherhood, service, and professionalism. This summer, my Alpha Phi sister Avery Reiman and I had the opportunity to attend the National Convention for the fraternity, where we connected with members from across the country and learned about how different chapters are run. I have gained very valuable leadership experience being the president of Theta Tau, and I know this will translate well to my Red Dress Gala Coordinator role in Alpha Phi. Shout out to sisters Emma Struck and Kelsey Elo who are also in Theta Tau! Can’t wait to be back at school so soon to see everyone!!!”

“Hi!! I’m Bani Kaur and I’m a rising sophomore majoring in Cognitive Science on the pre-dental track. This summer I studied abroad at University College London and also got to travel throughout France and Spain. I loved being immersed in new cultures and meeting people from around the world—would highly recommend studying abroad to anyone considering it!

I chose to join Greek Life because it provided a campus community with unconditional support and guidance. During primary recruitment, I kept feeling drawn towards all my conversations with Alpha Phis. Everyone’s confidence and self assurance was so inspiring, and this chapter’s emphasis on self growth really motivated me to join. Alpha Phi has brought truly meaningful friendships into my life and I cannot wait to see how they continue to blossom over the years. I’m so excited to live in the house this fall and grow even closer to my sisters!“
