Kidney Foundation of Ohio invites patients in our 32-county service area to share their personal experiences through our patient essay contest!

✍️ Theme: Living Beyond Kidney Disease: My Journey

What is something about living with kidney disease that people could never understand unless they lived it themselves? Tell us your story and how others can learn from your experience.

✨ Up to 12 essays will be featured in our monthly newsletter, and every selected entry will receive a $25 gift card!

Contest Guidelines:
-750 words max
-Essays cannot be previously shared in another publication or contest.
-Essay should focus on the participant’s personal experience with kidney disease.
-Essays must be the participant’s original work.
-Must be typed and emailed by November 30th. Late entries will not be accepted.
-Must include name, email, and phone number.
-Must allow permission to publish winning essay.

The 51st Annual Renal Symposium was held on September 16 & 17 at Wagner's of Westlake. More than 200 professionals were in attendance to learn, engage, and network.

2026 Renal Symposium Award recipients included Greg Craddock, awarded with the Marilyn R. Bartucci Excellence in Nephrology Nursing Practice Award, Matthew Layne, awarded with the 2026 Torchbearer Award in Memory of Barb Guthrie, and Connie Butler, awarded with the 2026 Health Care Provider of the Year.
