Matt and Donna Griggs never planned on becoming foster parents. But after caring for their nieces for nearly a decade, a single conversation changed everything. It opened their eyes to the world of treatment foster care and set them on an incredible journey.

Since getting licensed through Pressley Ridge in 2021, they've welcomed 16 children into their home, offering love, stability, and a place to belong. Their story is a powerful reminder that sometimes, the most fulfilling paths are the ones we never expected to take. 💪

September is National Kinship Care Month!

Let’s celebrate the grandparents, relatives and family friends who step in to care for kids during tough times. 💛

At Pressley Ridge, we support these heroes through certification, advocacy, emotional care and more.

Also, coming in 2026: a new kinship training course for child welfare professionals! 📚

💙 Meet the Carpenter family! 💙
Troy and Christine Carpenter would say "maybe someday" when it came to expanding their family. When Christmas 2022 came around, they knew that "someday" was here.

After becoming certified treatment foster parents, they received a phone call—not about one child, but three.

“It was very scary,” Christine recalled. “But something just felt right.” Read the full story to see how this one phone call brought this family together: https://www.pressleyridge.org/stories/carpenter-family/

The Recruitment & Foster Family Picnic took place on June 13th at the Metro Parks Oak Grove Picnic Area in Brecksville. We welcomed over 50 attendees, including families from Tapestry, Bridges, and TFC. We encouraged foster parents to invite parents who are interested in supporting Ohio’s at-risk youth to become advocates for our cause. The event was a success, with families enjoying delicious food and bonding with one another and the children. Prospective parents got to take home promotional items and had the opportunity to meet our foster families and staff. It was a wonderful time for everyone! The children had fun painting bird houses, and we all enjoyed outdoor games like co****le, parachutes, and classic kickball!
