Providing refugees resettling in Cleveland with affordable housing and a community of welcome. Vitus, Immaculate Conception, St. Paul, and Divine Word.

Joseph House is a partnership between four Catholic Churches in the Diocese of Cleveland: St. Our ministry in the St. Clair-Superior neighborhood is twofold:

Refugee Housing: By working closely with Cleveland Catholic Charities Migration and Refugee Services (MRS), we provide affordable housing and support to refugees resettling in Cleveland. MRS refers refugees to live at Joseph House based on

apartment availability and the specific needs of each family. Clothing Bank: We provide clothing and shoes to local neighbors and newly arriving refugees each week through our Clothing Bank Ministry. The Joseph House clothing Bank is open and now scheduling appointments. We will be following the health guidelines provided by the Ohio Department of Health to ensure that our clients and our volunteers will remain healthy and safe. The Fifth Annual Joseph House Bike Giveaway on Tuesday was a huge success, matching 97 kids with refurbished bikes, new helmets, locks and t-shirts. Many thanks to the Joseph House Team, Village Bicycle Cooperative, which supplied many of the bikes and their expert volunteers, and the Ohio AAP Ohio Chapter of the American Pediatrics Association, which again provided new helmets for all the kids. This is how we roll! 🚲🙏💕🚲

Joseph House recently received a donation of $11,700 from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, representing donations through Giving Machine Cleveland between November 18 and December 7 at Beachwood Mall.

Donors had the opportunity to support Joseph House by contributing toward six high-need items: bedding, a bicycle and helmet, essential clothing such as underwear and socks, winter clothing including coats, boots, and gloves, backpacks and school supplies, and personal hygiene kits.

Joseph House is truly blessed to be chosen as one of the recipients of the Light The World Giving Machine Cleveland 2025!

🚲 We’re still collecting bikes for Joseph House’s Annual Bike Giveaway this May!

Thanks to those who have already donated — your generosity is making a real difference. We’re still in need of more working teen/adult bikes to help ensure every student has the opportunity to get to school, participate in activities, and feel connected to their new community.

This morning, Joseph House received a bounty of gifts from Church of the Holy Angels in Chagrin Falls from their parish giving tree program. We received new winter coats, hats, winter gloves, laundry detergent, toilet paper, diapers and blankets.
