Ohio Freemasons Lake Erie Walleye Fishing WWIAf Event

This entire event is at no cost to the Veterans Each spring, the Wounded Warriors In Action Ohio Freemasons Lake Erie Walleye Fishing (OFMLEWF) event takes place in Huron, Ohio. This event is in partnership with the Wounded Warriors in Action Foundation (WWIA), who connects Purple Heart Veterans from all over the USA and all branches of the military with Ohio Freemasons to provide a weekend walley

e fishing on Lake Erie which is known to be the Walleye Capital of the World due to its awesome fishery. This entire event is at no cost to the Veterans! How do the WWIA events get financed? Each event group is responsible to raise funds to help afford the event experience. Our fishing event costs approximately $10,000 each year (this cost does not include the three boat captains who provide their services, equipment, and boats at no charge for the event. There are also other volunteers who provide services and food at no cost). Fundraising efforts consist of donations, sponsors, and advertised fundraising events. WWIA is a non-profit 501(c)(3) and they provide tax documents for donations made for events. The 2022 OFMLEWF event will be held May 13-16. The venue for the event is Wild Waves Motel in Huron, Ohio. This venue offers a beautiful lakefront accommodation which affords time for our Veterans to relax and fellowship after a day on Lake Erie fishing. Wild Waves provides us the entire facility for the weekend (Friday to Monday). They are the perfect host who sets up an open outdoor environment which gives the Veterans the perfect situation and space to Connect.Honor.Heal with their fellow veterans, forming lifelong memories they so truly deserve. There are several ways you can help us to provide what many of our past Veterans have deemed as, the fishing trip of a lifetime. Monetary contribution denoted to WWIA Foundation and identified to be in honor of the OFMLEWF event. Another way to help this event would be for a donation of product(s) and/or service(s) we can use for fundraiser incentives, awards, or provide directly for the Veterans.
