“They were able to see her business in action and ask questions in real time. She connected yoga poses and breathing to the importance of not giving up during challenging times. This Social/Emotional piece is especially needed by all. It was very valuable to hear this firsthand from an entrepreneur.” — Grades 6 & 7

Yoga beyond the mat

🌟Yes — even the littlest of humans can do it.

At Little Zen, we believe yoga is more than poses. It’s about building skills kids can use every single day.

🌟One way we do that? Pass the Ball.
Such a simple game.

Such a big impact.

🌟We give every child one simple challenge — pass it around the circle together.

And suddenly,

They focus.
They wait.
They work together.

🌟To them it’s a game. And they LOVE it.

That’s the Little Zen way.

Breathing is the one tool a child will have with them for the rest of their life.

No batteries. No screen. No adult required.

Just their breath — and the knowledge of how to use it.

Introducing our new series: Tiny Breaths, Big Impact. 🌬️

Every week we’re going to share a different breathing exercise — the same ones we use in every Little Zen Yoga class here in Cleveland. We’ll show you what it does, why it works, and exactly how to use it at home or in the classroom.

Because breathing isn’t just something kids do to survive.

When practiced with intention, it’s how they:
🌿 Get through hard transitions without falling apart
🌿 Calm a big emotion before it takes over
🌿 Clear their head when school feels like too much
🌿 Find stillness in a world that never slows down

At Little Zen, breathing is woven into everything we do. It’s how we open class. How we reset when the energy gets big. How we close. It’s not an add-on — it’s the foundation.

And the beautiful thing? It works just as well on a car ride home from school as it does on a yoga mat.

Swipe through to see how we do it — and try the exercise at the end with your kid tonight. 💚

If this is helpful, share it with another parent, teacher, or caregiver who could use it.
And follow along — we’re just getting started. 🌬️

🫶🏾FUN GAME ALERT
— GRAB THE STICK

At Little Zen Yoga, we’re more than just yoga.

•We love incorporating multiple forms of fun movement and interactive games into our programming because not only does it keep our kiddos engaged and having fun — it also helps build

important life skills that go far beyond the mat.

•Our game “Grab The Stick” helps children practice:

🌿 concentration
🌿 strategy skills
🌿 listening and focus
🌿 quick thinking

•Through movement-based games like these, children are learning while playing — and that’s where some of the most powerful growth happens.

•Because when kids are having fun, the learning sticks.

✨ Save this post if your kiddos would LOVE this game.

Not every child has access to the tools they need to navigate life.

❥Flow To Grow was created to support youth — especially those navigating higher levels of adversity and who are often set further back when faced with challenges.

❥Working closely with youth mental health institutions, our program uses yoga, mindfulness, movement, interactive activities, and meaningful experiences to help youth build real-life tools to:

🌿 regulate emotions
🌿 build confidence
🌿 strengthen communication and social skills
🌿 develop healthy coping strategies

❥This work is about creating spaces where youth feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to grow through life’s challenges.

❥We’re excited to partner with to bring the Flow To Grow program to their camp experience — integrating wellness, mindfulness, movement, and meaningful experiences into programming for their youth.

❥We’re excited to continue expanding this work and pouring into the next generation through intentional and impactful experiences.

Youth Wellness Matters.

⭐️Our mission is to create spaces where children can learn the skills they need to live enriching,
healthy lives.

But how do we get there?

⭐We do it through intentional wellness experiences that support the whole child.

Through our programs, children learn to:

-understand and navigate their emotions

- strengthen their mental, physical, and emotional development

-build confidence and a strong sense of self

⭐Through yoga, mindful practices, interactive games, creative expression, and enriching experiences —

we are equipping our kiddos with tools they can carry with them for life.

This work shows up in so many ways:

✨ Mindful Warrior → School-based wellness programs

✨ The Yoga Club → Events, Community classes, pop-ups, camps and family experiences

✨ Flow To Grow → Behavioral health programming

This is not just a yoga class.
This is not just a program.
This is a movement.

A movement to make high-quality wellness accessible to city youth and their families.

A movement to support the next generation.

A movement to create spaces where children feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow.

And we can’t do it alone.

✌️🏾To our village — thank you.

Serving communities, one mat at a time.

⭐️Over the past few Saturdays, we’ve been partnering with our friends at Learning Circle to host classes at the Hough Library.

⭐️Led by our incredible teacher Ms. Pearl, each class has been filled with movement, connection, and joy.

⭐️Through our themed sessions, the kids have been

Exploring:

• yoga poses and partner poses
• interactive group games
• creative crafts like breathing balls and glitter jars
But beyond the fun, they’re building real-life skills.

⭐️They’re learning how to regulate their stress, navigate their emotions, and take care of their minds and bodies in healthy ways.

⭐️Because the tools children learn in our yoga classes are designed to flow beyond the mat and into their everyday lives.

⭐️Moments like this remind us that this work is bigger than yoga.

⭐️It’s about showing up, pouring into our communities, and creating spaces where children feel supported, seen, and empowered.

We’re grateful to continue this work right here at home.

At Little Zen Yoga, we don’t “just play games.”
We use play as a teaching tool.

🔆Every yoga game, movement activity, and group challenge we introduce is designed with intention.

🔆Through play, children are practicing real-life skills that support their growth far beyond the mat.

Through our classes, kids learn how to:
• work together as a team
• listen and follow directions
• regulate big emotions
• practice leadership
• build confidence in themselves

🔆When children are having fun, their brains are open, engaged, and ready to learn — and that’s when the learning sticks.

🔆These moments of movement, laughter, and connection help children build tools they can take with them into school, home, friendships, and everyday life.

🔆This is the heart of what we do at Little Zen Yoga — supporting the whole wellness of children through yoga, mindfulness, and community.

✌️🏾Join the Little Zen community.

Stay connected for upcoming:
• Yoga Club pop-ups
• Summer camps
• Family yoga classes
• youth wellness programs
