Advocating for every child’s healthy future ❤️
RBCF Trustees Satricia Rice and Sandra Treppo were honored to participate in Children's Hospital Association's 21st Annual Family Advocacy Day this year in Washington, D.C. It is a special day that brings together patients and parents from 60 children’s hospitals nationwide to make children’s health a priority.
Together with University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital President Marissa Kiefer, inspiring patient Carlina Szabo and her family, and fellow advocates, they met with many representatives, including Senator Jon Husted, Congressmen Bob Latta and Mike Carey, and Congresswoman Rep. Shontel Brown.
All meetings were opportunities to advocate for protecting children’s healthcare, supporting the doctors and nurses who serve them, and upholding the American value that every child deserves a healthy future.
A special thank you to Carlina Szabo and her family for courageously sharing her story and raising awareness for children and families across the country.
