Holiday Boat Charters should stop lying about what happened. Why are they digging themselves an even deeper hole to try to get out of in the eyes of clevelanders…

The balloons were 100% also thrown at people just trying to enjoy the river and/or perform their jobs on the river. The attack was bad enough that they decided to remove three of their patrons from the boat, based on the captain of the Holiday’s own account. Both cannot be true at once.

Who the balloons were thrown at is only a part of the problem with this dispicable, decades long assault on our river. Speaking of which, here’s a study on so called “biodegradable balloons”. If they were manufactured to simply disappear once they’re exposed to the river water, they wouldn’t be able to serve as WATER balloons in the first place…

Had an opportunity to paddle the Tuscarawas to check up on the water quality after the Noble Oil Services let 1000 gallons spilling to the river…and the news showed up to see find out what we saw…

Big thanks to our friends at Slow Roll Cleveland for coming out and helping us pick up some trash from the river! If you’re into 300+ person bike rides every Monday in a different neighborhood of Cleveland…come pedal with us!!

Well over 700 paddlers from all across the country had to experience our river in one of the worst states I’ve ever seen it. Part of me was truly embarrassed to have them racing and padding in a literal river of garbage, but another part of me realized that those are now nearly 800 people who really understand why I have to do what I do and I think we all had a pretty good time regardless!

It’s hard to feel short handed with this much community support. Who knew sooooo many Clevelanders would want to jump in a free kayak to pick up garbage with me in the river?? I love my volunteers.

Y’all make this whole mission possible. I really appreciate your efforts and I really appreciate our supporters that contribute to the venmo or pay pal or order a t shirt or dedicate a bag of wet river garbage to their loved ones. Couldn’t be doing this without y’all!

Super stoked to have had the Today Show visit us down here in Cleveland. Thanks to everyone that helped make this happen. I was so honored to be able to share this experience with some of my best volunteers!!

When Eddie Olschansky would head out on Cleveland's Cuyahoga River, he was reeling in more trash than just fish. He decided to use his kayak as a makeshift garbage truck and has built a big following with his volunteer cleanup program called Trash Fish. NBC’s Joe Fryer shares the story for TODAY.
