🌍 Earth Day Celebration – City of Solon 🌱
Sindhu Shakha, HSS Cleveland, proudly participated in Solon’s Earth Day event at the Solon Community Center. Our Balas/Kishors presented beautiful posters highlighting the Hindu perspective of living in harmony with nature and confidently shared their ideas with visitors.
The booth attracted great community interest, including a visit from Mayor Edward Kraus, and led to a future collaboration invite from the Solon Green Team.
A wonderful and successful experience for everyone involved.

🌸 HSS at Solon Spring Fest – April 12, 2026 🌸
HSS proudly participated in Solon City’s Spring Fest at the Solon Community Center, alongside many organizations and Asian countries. Our booth stood out as a vibrant space showcasing Hindu culture, values, and community service. Through flyers, the national report, Darshana posters, and displays from events like SEWA Diwali, Earth Day, Rakshabandhan, and Surya Namaskar Yajna, we shared our story with the community. Visitors enjoyed Indian origin games like Chess, MokshPatam, and Pachcheesi, explored our “Myth or Fact” sheet, and celebrated Rakshabandhan as the Universal Day of Oneness by tying Rakhis. With great support from Shakha KKs, the booth was full of energy and engagement. A proud moment to represent HSS and connect with the wider community! Thank you City of Solon Ohio for giving us this opportunity. 🙏✨

Sindhu Shakha marked Varsh Pratipad Utsav with great enthusiasm and well‑coordinated preparations. The event began with Aadya Sarsanghchalak Pranam, followed by yoga and engaging khel. The atmosphere was vibrant and full of energy from start to finish.
The Baudhik session highlighted the cultural significance of the Utsav and featured inspiring reflections rooted in tradition and values. A special guest speaker shared encouraging thoughts on discipline, heritage, and staying connected to one’s cultural roots.

🌞 A Salutation to the Light Within Us 🌞

What an inspiring 7‑week journey! Our Sindhu Shakha community came together not just to practice Surya Namaskar, but to live discipline, devotion, and shared energy.
✨ Total Sun Salutations Completed: 14,772
✨ 28 participants across 7 teams
✨ 41% completed during Surya Namaskar Yajna (Jan 14–Feb 1)
✨ Strong weekly momentum with peaks of 2,749 in a single week
This effort wasn’t just physical—it was spiritual and communal. Every sunrise became a moment of gratitude, focus, and collective intention.
Special insight from one of our Tarun Swayamsevak S. Bansal ji highlighted how just 10 minutes of Surya Namaskar can bring rapid metabolic benefits—sometimes more effectively than longer workouts!
We also offer our sincere gratitude to Vadtal Dham temple at Cleveland for collaborating with us to promote this event.

As we move forward, let’s carry this light within us—practicing at our own pace, but with consistency and joy.

Solon City Mayor issues proclamation for Surya Namaskar Yajna 2026 during City Council Meeting.
Have a look at the video in which Mayor Kraus and other council members congratulate the hindu community efforts to spread awareness for physical health by practicing Yoga as a family and a group.

Shahidi Diwas SEWA Activity
On Saturday, November 29, Sindhu Shakha swayamsevaks organized a SEWA activity at Dashmesh Darbar Gurudwara in Solon to mark Shahidi Diwas. Approximately 17 volunteers, including Bala and Kishors, assisted in preparing langar in the Gurudwara kitchen. Later, they participated in the evening prayer ceremony.
