Congratulations to the exceptional emergency nurses and caregivers across all four MetroHealth emergency departments on earning the prestigious ENA Lantern Award®.

MetroHealth's Main Campus Emergency Department received this distinction for the second time, while Parma, Cleveland Heights and Brecksville earned the honor for the first time. The award recognizes excellence in emergency nursing leadership, clinical practice, education, advocacy and research.

💙 A partnership that feels like family.

We were delighted to welcome our friends from Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Ohio to MetroHealth's Main Campus and Outpatient Health Center.

For 15 years, our partnership has helped provide comfort, care and a sense of home for families during some of life's most challenging moments. The Ronald McDonald Family Room® at MetroHealth offers a welcoming space where families can take a break, enjoy a hot meal, recharge and spend time together while their loved one receives care.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the visit and for your ongoing commitment to supporting MetroHealth families. We are grateful for all you do and look forward to continuing this important work together!

We were honored to celebrate the dedication of the Walter B. Jones, Jr. Walkway with the Jones family, donors, community members and MetroHealth leaders on July 28.

Connecting the Outpatient Health Center and The Glick Center, the walkway is a fitting tribute to Walter's leadership as Senior Vice President of Transformation. As Eileen Hayes, Vice President of Facilities Transition & Operational Integration, shared, "Walter was a connector."

The event also highlighted the Walter B. Jones, Jr. Scholars Endowment, and we were inspired to hear from scholarship recipients Aaron Burnett and Azalia Crumb about the difference this support is making in their lives.

Jan Jones reflected on Walter's pride in MetroHealth and shared her family's gratitude for these meaningful tributes to his legacy.

Earlier this week, MetroHealth’s new Outpatient Health Center (OPHC) welcomed its first patients - and we can’t help but think back to a moment that perfectly captured why this building matters.

At the OPHC opening celebration, Dr. Natoya Walker Minor and Terissa Conner became the first to ring the bell, celebrating the completion of their cancer treatment. Their strength, resilience and hope served as a powerful reminder that healthcare is about the people whose lives are changed inside it.

The new OPHC was designed to make care easier, more connected and more convenient, bringing a wide range of services together under one roof. And every day, patients will walk through its doors with their own stories.

We’re grateful to the donors and supporters whose generosity ensures more patients can access the care they need close to home.

🚒🥸 Mustaches with a mission!

A heartfelt thank you to Jeremy Bond and all of the amazing partners behind Mustache March for supporting MetroHealth’s Comprehensive Burn Care Center.

For 16 years, Jeremy and his fellow firefighters at Chagrin Valley Fire Department have grown mustaches, shared plenty of laughs and raised funds to help patients receive expert burn care when they need it most. Their efforts have generated about $10,000 in support of the Burn Care Center's lifesaving work.

Jeremy sees the impact of MetroHealth every day as a Flight Nurse Specialist with Metro Life Flight and a firefighter. His dedication and that of everyone who joins this fun annual tradition helps ensure exceptional care is available for children and adults across our community.

From trauma survivor to Resiliency Run participant. 💙

After surviving a devastating motorcycle crash and years of recovery, Christine Sabel crossed the finish line at this year's MetroHealth Resiliency Run.

Her journey is a powerful reminder of why 1,258 runners, walkers and supporters came together to raise more than $100,000 for survivor programming in MetroHealth's Burn & Trauma Care Center.
