🏈 THE SEASON HAS OFFICIALLY KICKED OFF! 🏈

Inside Out Academy’s B.R.O. Mentoring and S.I.S. Mentoring programs are ready for an incredible 2026–2027 season! 💜💛💚

Our kickoff was about more than making mentor matches—it was about building brotherhood, sisterhood, connections, and a team of caring adults committed to helping our young people WIN. 🏆

From the first introductions to the beginning of our Brotherhood Teams and Sister Circles, we’re excited about what’s ahead.

This season, we’re growing together, showing up for one another, and helping every young person recognize the greatness already inside of them.

Inside Out Academy partnered with Pleasant Green M.B. Church, on Friday, July 24th for our 3rd Annual Career Exploration Camp. This on the road exploration allowed campers to met with business owners across Bolivar County to get insight on career opportunities. They enjoyed speaking with professionals, learning about their journeys, and gaining valuable lessons on securing their future.

Our first stop was in Mound Bayou to Tri-Site Counseling where we met with Dr. Lorita Harris Dorsey. Dr. Dorsey taught us to that our feelings are information, not identity-and God is not surprised by any of them. Next, we stopped in Merigold at KB Nailed It. Owner and operator Kayla Melvin taught us that we are never too young to follow our dreams. She encouraged us to stay consistent and to stay focused. Our next destination was Dynamic Wellness Medical Center in Cleveland,MS. We were greeted warmly by Mrs. Felecia Hadley, Dr. DeGail Hadley, and Dr. Shonda Williams. There we learned that being successful requires hard work and an education. It sometimes requires sacrifices that will ultimately pay off. Most importantly we learned that our experiences as youth will often lead us towards our purpose for the future.

Next stop was Delta State Cafeteria where we had a scrumptious lunch and met with Food Service Manager Talia Brown. Ms. Brown taught us that leadership requires accountability. We must be willing to lead by example. She also taught us that it often takes time to reach your dream. Start now and learn from every experience. After lunch we visited ChiroElite/Maxed Out Fitness. Here Jasmine Maxie and Keisha Thompson taught us about taking care of our bodies while we are young, going after our dreams, and how unusual circumstances can lead us to our purpose. Dr.Reginald Rodges taught us about securing our dreams by getting a free education. He taught us that it’s best to complete college owing as little as possible and that academic success starts now. Finally we traveled to Shelby, MS to Da Cake Goat Bakery for a sweet treat. Owner and operator Cordarian Allen taught us that sometimes you can start small and if you work hard, God will take you places you never imagined.
This day was filled with lessons that will remain with our campers forever. Thank you to everyone who opened their doors and allowed Inside Out Academy to be a part of your day.
