At Green Road Synagogue!
When Mrs. Daniella Botnick learned she needed to isolate during radioactive treatment for cancer, she had just days to find somewhere to stay. Within hours, Bikur Cholim arranged a guest home where she could be alone and provided her with meals.

That experience was one of many times she has turned to Bikur Cholim for support. Whether she needed help finding a specialist, securing an appointment or understanding where to turn after a health scare, she knew someone would listen and help her take the next step.

For women navigating health concerns, that guidance can make an overwhelming situation feel more manageable. Bikur Cholim provides medical referrals, advocacy, practical assistance and emotional support—all free of charge.

Tomorrow night, our 4th Annual Women’s Health & Wellness Expo brings our commitment to women’s health to life through an evening of knowledge and connection.

After losing her own hair almost 20 years ago, Michele Kaminsky faced costly disappointments and little guidance in finding a wig that helped her feel like herself again. She realized other women needed what she could not find: someone who understood, offered honest advice and truly cared.

With her husband’s support, she opened Mika’s Wig and Spa to help fellow Jews and non-Jews, creating the welcoming place she had searched for. Today, women travel hours for help with hair loss from cancer treatment, alopecia and other conditions.

“We don’t look at it as a business. We look at it as a place to help women,” says longtime store manager and esthetician Shoshana Warn.

Michele has never taken income from the business. Instead, helping others has become part of her own healing. “It’s helped me heal,” she says. “That’s my reward.”

She brings that same generosity to Bikur Cholim’s 4th Annual Women’s Health and Wellness Expo as our presenting sponsor, joining keynote speaker, Charlene Aminoff, founder and CEO of Gali’s Couture Wigs, for an evening of inspiration, knowledge and connection.
