🥨🥜 Happy National Trail Mix Day from TFP! 🍫✨

We celebrated with a full day of trail mix-themed fun! We started by learning about the origins and history of trail mix, then got creative making colorful Trail Mix Mosaics! 🎨

Next up was our DIY Trail Mix Bar, where everyone got to choose their favorite ingredients and create their own custom snack! 🥜🍇🍫

After lunch, we switched gears and headed to the kitchen to make a fresh batch of brownies for Friendly Grounds Café! 🍫☕️

A day full of learning, creativity, choices, teamwork, and of course… plenty of snacks! 💙

🧟‍♂️💚 Frankenstein Friday at TFP! 💚🧟‍♀️

Today was all about Frankenstein! We kicked off the morning learning the history behind the famous monster before getting creative with our own Frankenstein crafts. 🎨⚡

Then it was time for a spooky snack! 🍏 We made Frankenstein apples with peanut butter and pretzels—equal parts creepy, cute, and delicious! 👻🥨

We wrapped up our Friday with Book Club, continuing our adventure through Winterhouse! 📚❄️

A monstrously fun way to end the week at The Friendship Place! 💚⚡🧟‍♂️

☂️✨ A Jolly Holiday at TFP! ✨☂️

Today we celebrated the anniversary of the release of Mary Poppins! 🎬 We learned some fun facts about the classic film and got creative with a Mary Poppins-inspired craft! ☂️🎨

🧘 We also enjoyed Chair Yoga
🥪 Group B headed out to Panera
🤟 Group A practiced their skills in ASL Club

A practically perfect day of creativity, movement, communication, and community fun! 💙✨

✈️🐾 What a fun Wednesday at The Friendship Place!

We started our morning with a Flight Attendant Class where we learned all about working in the skies! ✈️ A HUGE shoutout to Miss Laura from Southwest Airlines for sharing her knowledge with us and giving our participants such a fun learning experience! 💙❤️💛

🛍️ Our Workforce Development crew got creative with Miss E, working on tote bags and practicing skills they can use in future job opportunities!

🥪 Group A headed out for lunch at Panera and practiced community and social skills while enjoying a meal together.

🐶 Meanwhile, Group B celebrated National Dog Day with some paws-itively fun dog-themed activities! 🐾🦴

Another busy day full of learning, job skills, community inclusion, and FUN! 💙

🍌🍨 Banana Split Day at TFP! 🍨🍌

We had a sweet day at The Friendship Place celebrating National Banana Split Day! ❤️

🎨 We started the day with some fun banana split crafts before making our very own banana split sundaes — complete with all the yummy toppings! 🍌🍦🍒

💃 Then we got moving with Zumba, dancing, exercising, and having a blast together!

🍰 In the afternoon, we switched into café mode and worked together to make cake pops for Friendly Grounds Café! Our participants helped create another delicious treat for the café while practicing teamwork and kitchen skills. ☕️✨

🧇🍟☕️ A full day of learning and fun at TFP! 💙

We kicked off our Monday celebrating National Waffle Day with a fun waffle fry activity! Our friends got creative with their waffle fry crafts and then enjoyed a Waffle Fry Bar, choosing from toppings like nacho cheese, bacon bits, and Chick-fil-A sauce to make their own creations! 🍟😋

We also harvested some fresh lettuce from our garden, giving our friends the opportunity to practice gardening skills and enjoy the fruits — and vegetables — of their hard work! 🥬🌱

This afternoon, we switched gears and headed into café training mode! ☕️ Using Boardmaker, our friends worked together on a café sequencing game where they practiced putting the steps for making an iced latte in the correct order. We also talked about the importance of cleanliness and sanitation in the café and practiced taking turns, following directions, and working together as a team.

From making choices at our Waffle Fry Bar to harvesting lettuce and practicing real-world workplace skills for Friendly Grounds Café, today was packed with opportunities to build independence, communication, sequencing, patience, and teamwork — all while having fun with friends! 💙✨

📚🪶 Another fun Friday at The Friendship Place! 💙

Today we started our morning by learning all about poetry and what makes a poem special! ✍️ Our participants then became poets themselves, creating their very own poems about topics that were meaningful and fun to them—from friendship and dogs to werewolves and even what it would be like to fly! 🐶🐺🪽💕

To bring our lesson to life, we got creative and made our own feather quill pens, just like writers used long ago! 🪶✨ After lunch, we ended the afternoon with one of our favorite Friday traditions—Book Club, where we continued our adventure through Winterhouse! 📖🏠

We love days that give our friends opportunities to express themselves, make choices, get creative, and share their unique interests with one another. Another great week at TFP! 💙✨

Another great Thursday at The Friendship Place! 💙✨

We started our morning with ASL Club, where participants practiced learning how to ask questions using American Sign Language 🤟💬. Next, we put our creativity to work on the Forever Friends Network newspaper, contributing ideas and working together on our latest edition! 📰✏️

Before lunch, we slowed things down with Chair Yoga, focusing on movement, stretching, and relaxation 🧘‍♀️🌿. Then, we wrapped up the afternoon with Drama Club! 🎭 In honor of National Radio Day, participants broke into groups and created their very own podcasts, coming up with topics, roles, and ideas before putting it all together! 🎙️🎧

A day full of communication, creativity, teamwork, and FUN at TFP! 💙

What a wonderful Wednesday at The Friendship Place! 💙✨

We kicked off our morning with Workforce Development, where our participants started planning something exciting — our very own Etsy shop! 🛍️🎨 Everyone learned more about what goes into running an online shop and worked together to brainstorm potential shop names and products they’d love to create and sell. We have some creative entrepreneurs in the making! 💡👏

Next up was Aktion Club! 🌸 Our members created Kindness Flower Pots, decorating their own pots and filling them with handmade flowers featuring positive words and kind messages on each one. The goal was to create something cheerful that could brighten someone else’s day and remind us how even small acts of kindness can make a difference! 💐❤️ They also continued planning their Stuffed Animal Drive, voting to donate the collected stuffed animals to New Beginnings and the Clermont Police Department to help bring some extra comfort and smiles to others in our community. 🧸

After lunch, we celebrated World Photography Day! 📸 Everyone had the opportunity to choose and share a favorite photo and tell the group why it was special to them.

A day full of creativity, teamwork, kindness, community involvement, and self-expression at TFP! 💙

💃🎳 Nobody puts TFP in a corner! 🕺✨

We had such a fun-filled Tuesday at The Friendship Place! 💙 We kicked off the morning celebrating Patrick Swayze’s birthday, learning about the legendary actor and dancer, and getting creative with our own Dirty Dancing-inspired dancing shoes! 👟🎨

Next, we got up and moving with Zumba 💃 before enjoying lunch together!

In the afternoon, some of our participants headed out for bowling 🎳! Since another group had their turn bowling last week, those who stayed back at TFP got to work in the kitchen making fresh brownies for the Friendly Grounds Café! 🍫☕ Our bakers helped prepare a new café treat while practicing teamwork and kitchen skills — and, of course, enjoying the delicious smell of brownies baking! 🤎

We love being able to offer different activities throughout the week so everyone gets a chance to participate, create, learn, and have fun together! 💙✨
