We have been receiving multiple calls for smoke in the area of Lake Louisa and Hwy 27.

A prescribed burn is currently being conducted in the area of Lake Louisa park.

This is a controlled fire at this time, Expect smoke in the area.

Last night, members of Clermont Firefighters Local 4350 A-Shift were dispatched to a reported structure fire within the City of Clermont.

First arriving units found a working fire in the garage of the home. Multiple CFD units arrived within minutes, allowing crews to quickly bring the fire under control and limit extension to the rest of the structure.

Incidents like this are a reminder of the importance of properly located and staffed firehouses, ensuring our members can respond quickly and serve our residents when emergencies happen.

Monday marked an important milestone for our Local and Fire Department as one of our three newly promoted members to the rank of Battalion Chief had the privilege of placing the new Battalion 103 in service.

With the addition of this position, Clermont Fire Department now has two on duty Battalion Chiefs serving the City 24/7/365. This is a significant step forward for our members by improving span of control, strengthening scene accountability, and ensuring that structure fires and major incidents within our city have both an Incident Commander and Safety Officer from the Clermont Fire Department on scene, something we previously had to rely on outside agencies to assist us with.

This is a major win for our members, our residents, our visitors, and the City of Clermont.

The Clermont Professional Firefighters Local 4350 would like to thank Fire Administration and City leadership for supporting this position and continuing to make the safety of our members and the community we serve a top priority.

Yesterday, members of Local 4350 were recognized by Orlando Health for their lifesaving efforts during a cardiac arrest incident on December 6, 2025.

These members were presented with the prestigious Phoenix Award, which is given to first responders who successfully achieve resuscitation prior to arrival at the emergency room, with the patient ultimately being discharged without any neurological deficits.

This recognition represents more than just an award. It represents teamwork, training, dedication, and the commitment our members bring to every call, every shift, and every person we serve.

We are incredibly proud of these members and the standard they continue to set for Local 4350, the Clermont Fire Department, and our community.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do.

Congratulations to all involved. Your actions made a difference, and because of you, a life was saved!

This morning, members of the Clermont Firefighters Local 4350 joined members of the Clermont Police Department (FL) at the Clermont Public Safety Training Complex to take on the Murph workout.

Completed across the country each Memorial Day, the “Murph” is a WOD style workout completed in honor of U.S. Navy Lt. Michael Murphy, who was killed in the line of duty on June 28, 2005.

The workout consists of:

1-mile run
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 air squats
1-mile run

Today was about pushing ourselves, honoring sacrifice, and remembering the men and women who gave everything for this country.

We’re proud to stand side by side with our brothers and sisters in blue as we remember what today is truly about.

Yesterday, members of Local 4350 B Shift responded to two separate vehicle into structure incidents, demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and dedication to our community.

The first incident involved a vehicle striking the front doors of a commercial property on West Hwy 50. Crews quickly assessed the scene for injuries and evaluated the building for structural damage.

The second incident occurred on Presidio Drive, where a vehicle struck a residence and became pinned between the home and a parked vehicle, requiring extrication. CFD Tower 103 worked diligently to stabilize the vehicle and safely extricate the driver who was turned over to LCFR Medic 89. During this incident, a pedestrian was also struck and received immediate care from LCFR Medic 101 with assistance from CFD Engine 103 before being transported to a local trauma center. CFD Heavy Rescue 1 checked the residence for structural damage and CFD Battalion 101 had command.

We are proud of the swift, coordinated efforts displayed by our members and lake county medic units in handling these challenging incidents and ensuring the safety of those involved.
