Our incredible Founder, Momma Kriss, being given the recognition she deserves. We wouldn't be here without her strength and guidance. 🥰
This Women’s History Month, we're highlighting women in our community who are making a difference today and whose impact will be remembered in the years ahead.
Today we'd like to recognize Kriss Titus, the heart and driving force behind Michael's Foundation.
Kriss’s story is one of profound love, unimaginable loss, and extraordinary purpose.
Her son Michael served our country for seven years in the U.S. Army, completing four tours in Afghanistan. After his passing, Kriss faced a grief no parent should ever have to endure. But rather than allowing that loss to define the end of the story, she transformed it into something that continues to help others.
Kriss founded Michael’s Foundation in her son’s memory, creating a beacon of hope for veterans who struggle with the difficult transition back to civilian life. Through the foundation, she works to ensure that those who served our country never feel alone when they return home.
What makes Kriss’s work even more remarkable is the path she took to get there. After more than three decades as a C-level executive, she stepped into the nonprofit world with the same leadership, determination, and heart dedicating herself fully to supporting veterans and honoring her son’s legacy.
Her journey reminds us that even in the darkest moments, light can emerge. Out of grief, she created purpose. Out of loss, she built hope.
Kriss Titus is truly a woman making history — right here, right now.
