Terrific Kids is a Kiwanis sponsored program that supports character building and recognizes students for modifying their behavior to become the best of who they are.

We recognized two club members this week that have gone above and beyond serving the South Lake community.

Marion DeAnnuntis was recognized for leading the club in service hours volunteered throughout the year. Marion serves on several of our club committees and is also a long time Key Club advisor to Real Life Christian Academy and First Academy.

We also recognized Dennis Horton for his 50 years of club membership. Dennis joined the club in the summer of 1975 and has served in several club capacities throughout his decades of service.

The Kiwanis Club of Clermont is honored to once again support the Wreaths Across America ceremony at Oak Hill Cemetery, Clermont, and its mission to Remember the fallen. Honor those who serve. And Teach the next generation the value of freedom.

You too can “Remember*Honor*Teach” by sponsoring a wreath this season.

For decades, our club has recognized local heroes at Oak Hill Cemetery by placing a USA flag on each grave during the Memorial Day and Veterans Day seasons.

As of May of this year, 562 Veterans and First responders have been identified at Oak Hill Cemetery.

We enjoyed a fun evening with tons of friendly competition among friends and supporters of the annual “Battle for Hope” hosted by Find Feed & Restore!

This years match between the Clermont Police Department- the incumbent team, and the South Lake Chamber of Commerce brought on a hard fought victory for Team Chamber!

On Monday, September 21, the Kiwanis Club of Clermont held its 101st Installation Banquet, where we celebrated and recognized several of our outstanding club members.

We also said farewell to our 2025–2026 Board of Directors and welcomed and installed our 2026–2027 Board of Directors.

A special thank-you to our guest speakers, 2026–2027 Kiwanis Florida Governor Linda Skaathun and Division 9 Lt. Governor Corey Gold, for joining us and for all they do to support our club and the Kiwanis mission.

We would be remiss if we didn’t give a very special shout-out to our outgoing Club President, Chuck Seaver, who has served as president for the past six years. Our members can attest to the incredible revitalization of our club under his leadership, steadfast guidance, quick wit, and humor. Chuck certainly leaves some big shoes to fill, but we know incoming President Chris Boylan has an amazing team beside him and is ready for a great year ahead!

It was a fun and beautiful morning serving the Miracle League of Lake County with Opening Day snacks and drinks supplied by the Kiwanis Club of Clermont!

Our club, as well as several other Kiwanis Clubs in Lake County, have had the pleasure of working with this fantastic organization for many years!

The Miracle League families and volunteers who support the league are truly incredible people! We are so blessed to be a part of this annual tradition!
