We welcomed Josen Llave of Hallmark Homecare at this weeks meeting. Josen not only provided an informative presentation, but also provided yummy treats from Firehouse Subs for those in attendance.

We welcome visitors each week on Tuesday at 11:30 AM- Mondays the third week of each month at 6 PM, Green Valley Country Club. Meals are optional and delicious but having fun is mandatory.

We are honored to help the Mascotte Police Department for the fifth year in a row of raising funds to support the departments annual “Back Pack Giveaway” that is scheduled for August!

Thank you to The Friendship Place for all that you do in and for our community!

A huge THANK YOU to the Kiwanis Club of Clermont for their incredibly generous $1,000 Amazon gift card donation to The Friendship Place’s Aktion Club! 💙💛

Because of their support, we will be able to purchase a Cricut machine, crafting supplies, organizational materials, and other resources that will significantly enhance our Aktion Club programming. These tools will help our members continue giving back to the community through meaningful service projects, creative activities, leadership opportunities, and acts of kindness.

Aktion Club empowers adults with disabilities to become active community leaders, and donations like this make that mission possible. We are so grateful for Kiwanis’ continued partnership and commitment to helping our participants learn, grow, and make a difference.

Our club members truly enjoy helping others in the community, especially when those organizations support youth and families in the South Lake area.

Thank you to the Give A Day Foundation Inc. for your annual 'Champion Circle' youth empowerment program, a program that we have watched grow every year and that we are proud to sponsor.

We thank Love Groveland and the amazing work that Melissa Roy and her team of volunteers do each week to assist those in the community who face food security challenges.

We also welcome new members who are committed to serving community and school programs. Today, we welcomed new member Dillan Alcorn. Dillan, a recent college graduate, is no stranger to the Kiwanis family, having begun his service years of dedication in middle school as a Kiwanis Builders Club member and continuing on through high school and college as a Key Club and Circle K member. Dillan brings a lot of experience and new ideas to the table. Thank you, Dillan, for joining the team.

Join us each Tuesday at 11:30 AM or at 6 PM on the third Monday of each month to see how you too can have fun while helping others. We meet at Green Valley Country Club each week. Meals are optional but yummy, and the environment is casual and welcoming.

We enjoyed a fun and informative meeting this week with Building Blocks, Hands of Hope America of the Four Corners, and the City of Mascotte all presenting summer season plans for the community!

Hands of Hope and the City of Mascotte are currently gearing up for youth programs in their respective areas of service. Both help their communities at so many levels and we are always happy to help where we can!

Thanks to The Florida Kiwanis Foundation for awarding a grant to our club that will help Building Blocks kickoff a hydroponics program that will be both an educational and fun project for their clients.

We also received a grant from The Florida Kiwanis Foundation that will help us expand our Lending Library Book Box program in the community. The LLBB is a popular partnership with our friends at Read to Sydney.

We honor those who serve and have served in the past. Since the late 1980’s, the Kiwanis Club of Clermont has recognized those that are laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery, Clermont by placing a USA flag on each site.

We began the tradition of recognizing first responders as well in 2018. To date, 561 known sites exist and are recognized each Memorial Day and Veterans Day.

The flags are in place this Memorial Day until May 30th. Enjoy a peaceful ride through Oak Hill and take in the patriotic atmosphere that the waving flags project.

We would like to thank our Key Club students and community volunteers who helped place flags today.
