Mentorship Doesn't End When the Program Ends!
Today, I had the privilege of spending time behind the wheel with one of our Champion Circle young men, helping him prepare for his driver's license.
While it may seem like a simple driving lesson, to me, it was much more. It was another opportunity to encourage, guide, build confidence, and continue investing in a young man's future.
One thing I have learned about mentorship is that it doesn't end when the summer program is over. The relationships we build with these young men should extend far beyond the workshops, activities, and scheduled sessions.
As mentors, we have an opportunity—and a responsibility—to remain a positive presence in their lives as they navigate new challenges, celebrate accomplishments, and grow into adulthood.
Sometimes mentorship means offering advice. Sometimes it means listening. And sometimes, it simply means sitting in the passenger seat while a young man learns to drive.
The greatest impact of mentorship isn't always measured by what happens during a program, but by the relationships that continue long after it ends.
Through Champion Circle, we're not just developing young men for today. We're building relationships that can help shape their tomorrow.
Mentorship is not just a program. It's a lifelong commitment to making a difference, one young life at a time.
