Happy Thursday from the ranch! Puppy update time! 🐾

King Louie 👑 is an absolute sweetheart. He’s playful but also laidback, he’s a total snuggle bug, and he loves every person and dog he meets. He has a beautiful coat that will get more beautiful as he grows. He’s part of our Jungle Book litter and came to us from Alabama on a Puppy Rescue Flight ✈️ DNA shows he’s mostly Great Pyrenees with German Shepherd, Aussie, and a bit of Border Collie. He’s expected to be medium to large size as an adult. He’s crate trained, up to date on all vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and neutered. All that’s missing is his forever family! 🏡

Mina 🦊 came to us from a very loving home, and her owner is heartbroken to part with her. Her mom was said to be a blue heeler, and her dad is a mystery, but we think he may have been a smaller breed, maybe even a Chihuahua! She looks like a little fox! She’s smart, eager to learn, already knows lots of tricks, and loves meeting new people and dogs. She’ll be a compact adult. She’s up to date with vaccines, dewormed, and microchipped. She’s being spayed today and will be ready to go home soon. 💛

Welcome Mina! 🐾🧡

Mina came from a very loving home, where life changes led her owner to make the heartfelt decision to find her a new family.

She’s an adorable 5-month-old Cattle Dog mix, a compact little puppy who reminds us of a fox! 🦊 We expect her to stay on the smaller side.

🐾 Affectionate and cuddly, with a playful personality
🐾 Loves people and every dog she meets
🐾 Knows many commands and tricks
🐾 Crate trained and sleeps well through the night
🐾 Loves to play but settles down nicely for snuggles

Mina will be spayed before going home. She’s up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, and microchipped with lifetime registration.

She really is the total little package, and we know she’ll bring so much happiness to her forever family! 🧡

Happy Friday from King Louie! 👑

King Louie is ready to find his forever family! He’s a Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix with a beautiful coat and a personality to match. Sweet, affectionate, and calm for a puppy, he’s expected to be a medium to large dog. We can already see him becoming someone’s very best friend. Adoption applications are in our bio. 🏡

Captain Jack went home yesterday, and we couldn’t be happier for him and his new family! 🏴‍☠️

Today we’re also welcoming a very much loved puppy. A change in his owners’ work life has led to this heartbreaking decision, and they want the very best for their sweet dog. We’ll share more about her soon.❤️

Happy Gotcha Day, Captain Jack! 🏴‍☠️

Captain Jack was adopted today by a wonderful family, and he will have a dog sibling to grow up with. He’s already loving his new home, and we couldn’t be happier for him and his family!

Aye aye, Captain Jack! Your greatest adventure starts now. ❤️

Meet Captain Jack! 🏴‍☠️❤️🐾

Captain Jack made his way to us from Alabama on a Puppy Rescue Flights transport, and now he’s ready to find his forever home. This very sweet, friendly puppy is outgoing, loves meeting people, and gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids. He’d love an active family to grow up with!

Happy Monday from Rey 💫

Rey is a tripod puppy who is always smiling, loves every person and dog she meets, and if you’re wondering whether having three legs gives her any limitations… she’s also one of the fastest dogs at the ranch! 🐾

Rey’s mom Bindi came to us as a very pregnant stray and gave birth to 13 puppies here at the ranch. Rey was born a tripaw, and she’s never let that slow her down.

Good morning from Benjamin! 🐐💛

Benjamin holds a very special place in our hearts. He was our very first sanctuary resident, joining us in September 2021.💛

He’s a Nubian wether with a BIG personality and has proudly appointed himself the boss goat! Benjamin loves being right in the middle of everything we’re doing - whether we need his help or not - and he’s kept us laughing the very beginning.

Through the last five years of creating this rescue and navigating our way through losing Bekah, Benjamin has been such a wonderful source of therapy for us. He’s made us laugh on some of the hardest days and reminded us just how healing animals can be. There’s just something about Sir Benjamin that always makes us smile. 💛

From those early days, to his many mischievous moments, to simply being Benjamin, we sure do love our boss goat.

Our family received some amazing news!
For those who have followed our journey, I lost my daughter Bekah unexpectedly in September 2021. Bekah became an organ donor and gave the gift of life to five people.

Several months ago, we sent letters to all of Bekah’s recipients, hoping that someday we might hear back. And last night, we did.

Bekah’s liver recipient received our letter.💛

His mom had actually reached out to me back in 2022 after we were matched in an organ donor/recipient Facebook group. At the time, though, we had no way of knowing for certain that Bekah was his donor.

But now we know. It’s official. 🥲

I have been crying since I found out. Tears of joy in knowing that something beautiful came from the greatest heartbreak of my life. It truly feels like a beauty from ashes moment. 🌹

I remember when I knew that Bekah was leaving us, my prayers shifted to include praying for her recipients. I remember thinking about them receiving the phone call they had been praying for and waiting for - the phone call that would change their lives.

Out of our greatest heartbreak, Bekah became a miracle and our Hero. 💙💚

I am so happy to know that Bekah’s recipient is doing so well! He loves fishing like Bekah did. I pray that God continues to bless him with a long, happy and healthy life. 💫

Bekah’s love lives on. 🦋
