Special Olympics Florida is coming to Panama City, and they need local volunteers!

The 2026 Northwest Regional Fall Games will be held Saturday, October 3, at Bay High School. Athletes from across Northwest Florida will compete in volleyball, pickleball, corn hole, softball, flag football, and powerlifting.

Volunteers are needed for:
• Event setup on Friday, October 2
• Assisting athletes and coaches
• Awards
• Lunch service
• Photography
• Announcing
• Volunteer check in

No experience is necessary. Instructions and support will be provided, and volunteer hour documentation is available. Volunteers age 15 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or adult supervisor.

This would be a great opportunity for local businesses, civic organizations, school groups, churches, families, and individuals to get involved and welcome these athletes to our community.

Way to go, Matthew Whitfield! He earned GOLD in Bocce doubles at the 2026 State Summer Games alongside teammate Ricky Rudolph. Strong teamwork and great skill led them to the top!
