Helen's Hugs http://www.helenshugs.org/ Helen was an accomplished rider herself and very passionate about horses and her sport.

For nearly a decade now, Helen’s Hugs, through generous donations and dedicated volunteers has funded literally thousands of equestrian therapy lessons for special needs children whose families may not otherwise be able to afford them. She would spend countless hours with her horse Tonka, and we believe that this connection created a part of her loving and generous spirit. Through Helen’s Hugs, co

nnecting a child to days filled with sunshine, smiles and horseback riding may well be the gateway to a changed life. Tonka now shines as one the favorite horses at Eden Farms. He loves his job and he is treated like royalty by their fabulous and gifted staff. Tonka makes an appearance at the annual Helen’s Hugs 5K Run/Walk & Hangout!

Helen's Hugs 2020 Golf Tournament. Thank you Paul Goldstein for all of your hard work and a bright spot to this crazy time we are in. Thank you to all of our golfers and supporters that turned out for an outdoor event that is so close to all of our hearts. Thank you to all the volunteers that helped make this a successful day. Thank you to all of our loved ones and amazing friends and supporters that couldn't come to the event today, we know you were with us in spirit! It feels strange waking up on the day that would have been our 14th Annual 5K. We miss you all so much. Today we encourage you to get out and walk/run our usual route in honor of our beloved event, while keeping a safe social distance from others. Tag us in any picture or videos from your walk! If you are not able to get outside today, comment your favorite memory from a past Helen's Hugs 5K. We love hearing from all of you and we will be back next year!

Days at the barn mean a lot more than riding. Our sponsored students are able to grasp life lessons that may be hard to understand in a typical classroom setting. Listening skills, respect for others, and being able to understand situations such as horse behavior and feelings are all valuable lessons these awesome kids can take out into the real world.
