South Carolina 4-H Pinckney Leadership Program

South Carolina 4-H Pinckney Leadership Program The 4-H Pinckney Leadership program is a program for middle and high school students looking to develop their leadership and civic engagement skills.

Founded after the late Senator, Clementa Pinckney, the program aims to set forth the standards and principles valued by Senator Pinckney. Our goal is to empower students to serve with compassion, lead with humility, and inspire others through integrity. It is our hope that after becoming a member of the Pinckney Leadership Program students will be equipped to influence the state of South Carolina

as a stronger leader, a positive role model, and an engaged citizen. Thus impacting their community, such as Senator Pinckney impacted the world

Today, we remember the lives of the Emanuel 9 and honor the legacy they left behind. Their faith, courage, and commitment to love in the face of hate continue to inspire us. May we carry that legacy forward through compassion, unity, and service to others.

Ready for work. Ready for life. Ready to lead.

One of the most powerful parts of youth leadership development is helping young people discover connections between what they learn in the classroom and the opportunities that exist beyond it.

That’s a wrap on Conference Session 1!

What began as a week of introductions quickly became a week of growth, leadership, service, learning, and lasting connections. Throughout the week, participants challenged themselves to step outside their comfort zones, discover their strengths, and learn what it means to lead with purpose.

A special thank you to our closing speaker, , for sharing an inspiring message and encouraging participants to continue pursuing excellence long after they leave this program!

Leadership is about more than what you accomplish, it’s about how you serve others 🍀

Today, we stepped outside the conference setting and into the community, volunteering at the Littlejohn Community Center. From spending time with local youth to donating school supplies, participants had the opportunity to serve, connect, and make a positive impact.

Through service, we were reminded that leadership begins with a willingness to invest in others. Whether through a conversation, a shared activity, or a simple act of kindness, every interaction has the power to make a difference.

Thank you to the Littlejohn Community Center for welcoming us and allowing our participants to put leadership into action through service.
