Meet Tri Beta’s Member of the Month for September, Abby Johanson! Over the summer Abby had the opportunity to do some tortoise conservation shadowing at the Turtle Conservancy. They’re the only AZA accredited captive breeding facility in the US for turtles and tortoises and help to restore species back to their native ranges. She got to meet over 30 endangered/extinct tortoises and turtle species including the Ploughshare Tortoise which only has 500 animals left on earth. Way to go Abby!
