Tiger prowl is this Tuesday, August 20th from noon to 2pm at the football stadium. Clemson Air Rifle Team is going to be at Table #335 Zone 6. Please stop by if you are on campus!

Clemson Rifle kicked off the new semester with a competition at the Citadel last weekend! Special thanks to the Citadel Rifle team for letting us compete against them and several other NCAA schools! Our members made a strong showing, with both Sid and Gage breaking their previous PR's (505 and 546 respectively), and Yen doing fantastic as a first time precision shooter. Next stop, Sectionals at UNG on February 9th!

This past week Clemson Rifle hosted their first successful fundraiser! Special thanks to Yen, Claire, Emily and Claudia for helping organize and manning the table on library bridge, along with other members who helped prepare.

We hope to host a number of other fundraisers throughout the year, and we are currently working on a website to sell some Clemson Rifle apparel. Thank you to everyone for your continued support of our team!

Over spring break, 8 members of the Clemson Air Rifle team competed at the 2018 NRA Intercollegiate Rifle Club Championship in Fort Benning, Georgia. The competition consisted of one day of practice, followed by two days of competition in air rifle and smallbore against other collegiate club teams from across the nation. Hansen Mou led the team in smallbore with a score of 528, and Za'Cori Ross placed first on the team for air with a score of 554. This competition marks the end of the 2017-2018 season, but we look forward to coming back to compete next year!

We drove down to the University of North Georgia for our NRA Sectionals match last Saturday, and returned with a fistful of medals! Our team won first place in both air rifle and 3 position smallbore, and most of our members qualified for the NRA Club Nationals individually as well. Congratulations to Claudia Sisk for placing 1st in smallbore, Za'Cori Ross for placing 2nd in both smallbore and air rifle, and Hansen Mou for placing 3rd in smallbore and 1st in air rifle!

Six members of our team headed down to compete in the South Carolina Junior Olympics hosted at The Citadel last weekend, and each one returned having shot a new personal record! Congratulations to Claudia Sisk and Andrew Rothschild for qualifying for the National Junior Olympics! They'll be heading to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado to compete in the spring.
