Brookwood Association

Brookwood Association Brookwood Association Brookwood Association is the home-owners association for the Brookwood neighborhood in Clemson, SC. It was known as the E.J. Lease property.

Officers for 2011-2012 are:

- Treasurer: Iris Thompson
- Secretary: Trish Henry

Some history of the neighborhood:
This was originally an "estate" with the Smith's home being the original home and all the surrounding property part of its land. Some of the terracing can still be seen. The tree "line" is defined where ther

e are more pines and evergreens toward Pendleton Road and, as the property descends down East Brookwood, more hardwoods are found. Also, with a treatment center where Ashley Dearing Park now is, our neighborhood was the second (the first being Camelot) outside downtown Clemson (Shorecrest, etc.) to have a sewer system rather than septic tanks. The original neighborhood was composed of a CU department head, dentist, professors, busness leaders, etc.
