OLLI members got a behind the scenes look during a visit to the WYFF4 News Studio in Greenville, SC. They explored the studio and learned about the many moving parts involved in producing a daily newscast. Members also got to meet media professionals and see where anchors deliver the news. 🚨📰📺

OLLI members got creative with repurposed materials during a fun and whimsical art workshop. They designed their own repurposed artworks using an assortment of unexpected materials. Members made one of a kind pieces! 🎨🖼️🖌️

Yesterday, OLLI members participated in a hands on workshop with instructor Carla Poitier, where they transformed vintage windows into unique pieces of home decor. Using decorative floral transfers, members learned how to repurpose the windows into something that they can display indoors or outdoors 🌸🌺🌻🌷

Yesterday, OLLI members explored the fascinating world of mushrooms during a culinary presentation led by Olga Katic, owner of Mushroom Mountain. Olga shared her extensive knowledge of both cultivated and wild mushrooms found in the Upstate. Members learned how to identify edible varieties, discovered why mushrooms are considered a nutritional superfood and picked up tips for preparing them, all while enjoying 3 delicious meals. The class was the perfect blend of education and inspiration, leaving members with a greater appreciation for mushrooms and new ideas to bring into their kitchens! 🍄🍄‍🟫
