9-28-26 Wrapped up a very busy month of September tonight at American Legion Post #273 McGregor with the awarding of 3 more very deserving veterans. Please continue to show your support for this mission by sharing your own words of gratitude and respect for the following:

Juan C., US Marine Corps 1974-1978 & US Army 1980-1983.

9-22-26 Veterans supporting veterans. Today Donald M., an employee of the Waco VA Regional Office, was awarded with a Quilt of Valor with friends, family, and co-workers on hand. Donald served in both the US Marine Corps and the US Army between 2002 and 2010. He was nominated to be honored by his co-worker Martha Ybarra . Thank you to Donald and all the veterans who work within the VA system to provide support for others, and thank you for serving and protecting our freedoms.

9-19-26 US Army Veteran Gregory O. was awarded a Quilt of Valor today at his home in Hewitt, TX. Staff Sgt Ochoa served 1999-2014 including time in Afghanistan. Please honor him with your well wishes and thanks. Welcome Home Greg, welcome home.

9-17-26 Our second stop today is a First Baptist Church of Hewitt to award 92 year old retired DPS officer and US Army Veteran William "Bill" M., who served 1955-1957 and 1974-1978 in our military prior to his career with the Texas Department of Public Safety. Surrounded by his family and friends as he was awarded with his Quilt of Valor today, he told of his experiences as a young Vietnam soldier. Thank you Bill, and welcome home. 🇺🇸 🇺🇸
