No matter which hurdles your child faces, apps and other media included in this presentation can give him or her an added boost. We don't expect an app to be a complete solution, of course. Working with students who face challenges requires lots of time, attention, and patience on the part of a parent, teacher, or other adult caregivers. Our goal is to offer you a host of fun apps you can add to your toolkit as you work with your child. For more information, go to: https://app.smore.com/n/1uyp4

Students are often their own best champions. Not surprisingly, they are frequently the ones who know best what they need and want. This presentation will share strategies to help students present and take more responsibility for most of the process. A student-led IEP is an IEP in which the student with a disability participated in the writing and creation of any portion of the IEP and/or held a leadership role during the actual IEP meeting. https://app.smore.com/n/baquk

On this Memorial Day, Family Network on Disabilities pauses to honor all those who gave everything in service to this country. Their courage, sacrifice, and dedication made possible the freedoms we hold dear, including the freedom to stand up for every individual and family we serve. To the families who carry the weight of that loss, we hold you in our hearts today and always. Thank you to all who served and to all who loved someone who did.
