Join the Clearwater Community Redevelopment Agency for a Placemaking & Design Workshop Aug. 25 at the Clearwater Main Library. Residents, business owners and community partners are invited to learn more about plans for the district, ask questions and share their input.

Two sessions will be offered:
• 2-3:30 p.m.
• 5:30-7 p.m.

Both sessions will take place in the first-floor Council Chambers at the Clearwater Main Library, 100 N. Osceola Ave.

Today's the day. Join us tonight at 6:30 p.m. June 23, for the Clearwater City Council's Candidate Forum and hear directly from the candidates for Seats 4 and 5 before the Aug. 18 municipal election.

Starting June 15, motorists may experience delays in two areas of Clearwater:

• Drew Street: A westbound lane reduction will be in place between Corona Avenue and Duncan Avenue near Keene Road June 15-26 for utility work. Access from Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and Duncan avenues will be temporarily closed.

• Downtown Clearwater: Pierce Street will be closed between Osceola Avenue and Fort Harrison Avenue as work continues on the Osceola Parking Garage project. Sidewalk closures remain in place, and additional traffic pattern changes are planned this summer.

Please follow posted detours, use caution in work zones and allow extra travel time.

The Clearwater Neighborhoods Coalition candidate forum will be TONIGHT June 1 from 6 to 9 PM at Trinity Church, 2001 Rainbow Drive. Bianca Latvala and Jared Leone are the candidates for Seat 4.
Mark Bunker, Kevin R. T. Laughlin, and Sam Wilson are the candidates for Seat 5. Doors open at 6PM for the event and there will be a Meet and Greet social time until 650PM. At 655PM, each candidate will have 1 minute for a self-introduction. At 7PM questions will begin and each candidate will have 1 minute to respond. Questions will be rotated between candidates but all will answer each question. At 840PM there will be closing remarks.

Honor Fest at Crest Lake Park brings the Clearwater community together in remembrance, gratitude, and service. It exists to honor fallen heroes, support veterans and military families, and reinforce the values of patriotism and public service across Florida. This year's event will be on Monday May 25 from 6PM-830PM at the Florida Veterans Memorial Plaza.
