Last night Recovery Epicenter Foundation was honored to be hosted for a private evening cruise fundraiser aboard the Dutch and Dane; a yacht previously owned by astronaut and senator John Glenn.

It is through the generosity of our community that we get the privilege to provide the services we do, and last night was an incredible experience of sharing Recovery with families and individuals looking for ways to support.

We are very grateful to have been invited, and look forward to doing this again.

Our Executive Director and Advocacy Director were privileged to participate in the USF REACH Leadership training alongside some incredible County Health Department officials. We're especially grateful to our team lead, and Hillsborough County Health Department Director of behavioral health Gina-Maria Roca for inviting us to participate. Having presented our Capstone project today we received our certificates in front of decision-makers who want to support the peer support movement. More to share soon.

Recovery, Hope & Community: Stephanie DiMarco

Stephanie DiMarco is the Director of Outreach for Pasco County for Recovery Epicenter Foundation. Her journey with REF began as a volunteer, showing up to outreaches, connecting with people, and helping distribute Narcan. She loved the work so much that she moved into a part-time role and eventually into the full-time position she proudly holds today.

Stephanie is a person in long-term recovery with over eight years of sobriety, and the principles and steps of her twelve step recovery lifestyle are her foundation. They guide how she shows up, how she leads, and how she serves. Her passion is helping people believe in themselves again and supporting them as they build a life in recovery.

What inspires Stephanie most in this work are the moments of transformation — when someone begins to believe in themselves again, when hope returns, or when they take that first brave step toward change. Being able to walk alongside people during some of the most meaningful moments of their lives is something she never takes for granted.

She is currently focused on strengthening community partnerships, expanding harm-reduction outreach, and increasing access to recovery resources throughout Pasco County. Stephanie is also working on projects that uplift lived experience, amplify recovery voices, and build stronger connections between service providers, families, and the community.

Every day, Stephanie remains committed to educating the community, reducing stigma, and reminding people that recovery is possible. No matter where someone is starting from, they deserve hope, support, and the chance to change their life — and she is honored to be part of that journey.

Her guiding message is simple and at the heart of everything she does: recovery is possible, and no one has to walk the journey alone.
