Today we remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

On this Memorial Day, we also honor the families who carry that loss forward every single day. The spouses, children, parents, siblings, friends, and loved ones whose lives were forever changed. Their strength, resilience, and enduring love deserve our support not only today, but every day.

At Red Star Foundation, we believe remembrance must be accompanied by action, compassion, and community. We honor those we have lost by continuing to stand beside the families left behind and by working to build a future where connection, support, and prevention save lives.

Awareness alone is not enough, but awareness is where prevention begins. Every effort to bring veteran su***de into public conversation matters. Behind every statistic is a family, a unit, a community, and a life that mattered deeply. We support continued national efforts focused on education, intervention, connection, and long-term support for veterans and first responders. The conversation cannot stop.

Thank you, Senators James Beach and Raj Mukherji and Assemblywoman Aura Dunn for advocating on behalf of our veterans and helping bring greater attention to the mental health challenges facing those who have served.
