~Assist Families In Crisis:
Everyday in our country a family is impacted by unpredictable circumstances, such as unexpected loss of employment, hardships, accidents, disabilities, crimes etc. Hands Across the Bay understands during these times of crisis families may feel lost, desperate, and confused. We step in and provide assistance to stabilize our families. Through our communi
ty partners, we have been able to provide previous families with the resources required to cover virtually every aspect of their needs. We also understand their needs extend further than money, which is why we are devoted to providing them one-on-one mentorship and guidance throughout their journey.
~We are devoted to Prevention & Awareness:
What would Tampa Bay be like if we worked together to prevent major social issues from occurring before they began? Many current social issues are diminishing the quality of life in our community. Hands Across the Bay advocates against bullying, su***de, domestic violence, teen dating violence, animal abuse, and supports LGBTQ equality rights, as well as advocates for veterans suffering from PTSD. The purpose of our commitment is to increase public awareness and provide information that will prevent these issues from continuing to wreak havoc throughout our community. We firmly believe our collective efforts will move Tampa Bay forward and save lives.
~Spreading Joy through Random Acts of Kindness:
Imagine the excitement a child would feel if they randomly found a kite at the playground or what if you showed up to do your laundry and the washer and dryer was already full of quarters for you? Random acts of kindness or RAOKS are meant to help or cheer up a stranger, for no reason other than to make them happier. Hands Across the Bay has a deep affection for helping others and making people smile, which is why we are committed to bringing joy to Tampa Bay through our random acts of kindness.
