Today, we celebrate and thank two outstanding members of the Habitat Florida Board of Directors as they conclude their terms of service.

A heartfelt thank you to Catherine McManus, President & CEO of Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County, for six years of dedicated leadership and service, and to Theo Lyons (a Habitat Homeowner from Habitat for Humanity of Broward!) for two years of commitment to advancing Habitat’s mission across Florida.

Their time, expertise, and passion have helped strengthen our organization and support the work of Habitat affiliates throughout the state. We are deeply grateful for the impact they have made and the countless ways they have contributed to our success.

At Habitat Florida, our mission would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteer Board members. Thank you, Catherine and Theo, for your leadership, service, and unwavering support. We wish Catherine the best as she continues to lead her affiliate and extend our congratulations to Theo as he begins his doctoral program - we look forward to seeing all that he accomplishes in this exciting new journey!

One of our Florida affiliates Habitat for Humanity Walton County is celebrating a very special anniversary this year! 3️⃣0️⃣ years of making a positive impact in their community. We can't wait to see what they do with the next 30! 🤩

✨ 30 Years of Building Strength, Stability & Self-Reliance Through Shelter 🏡

This year, Habitat for Humanity of Walton County proudly celebrates 30 years of impact in our community!

Since 1996, together we have:
🏠 Built 76 homes for local families
🔨 Kept 9 homes under construction and moving families closer to homeownership
💚 Invested more than $2.9 million into affordable housing opportunities in Walton County

But these numbers tell only part of the story.

Behind every home is a family whose future has changed. Behind every wall raised is a volunteer who gave their time. Behind every donation is a donor who believed in our mission. Behind every build day is a sponsor, community partner, and supporter who made it possible.

Because of YOU, Habitat Walton has not only helped families achieve the dream of homeownership, but has also strengthened our local economy, created jobs, generated tax revenue, and built a stronger Walton County for generations to come.

Happy 17th Birthday to Habitat Florida! 🎉🏡

For 17 years, Habitat Florida has worked alongside affiliates across the state to advocate, support, and strengthen the mission of affordable homeownership in Florida.

And while our state’s Habitat history reaches back even further, together Florida Habitat affiliates have now served more than 30,000 families — building homes, communities, and hope across the Sunshine State. ❤️

Thank you to every affiliate, homeowner, volunteer, donor, and partner who has been part of this incredible journey. Here’s to continuing to build a stronger Florida together!

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, we pause to reflect on their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting the freedoms we hold dear.

Yesterday, two of our team members had the opportunity to participate in Women Build with Clay County Habitat! It was an incredible day spent working alongside community members and future Habitat homeowners to make a lasting impact in the community.

We’re grateful to be part of a mission that brings people together and empowers women to build a brighter future. 🏡❤️
