Supporting Habitat affiliates as they build homes, communities, and hope in the Sunshine State 🏠

10/13/2026

The Habitat Florida team had a wonderful time at the recent Habitat Affiliate Conference in Atlanta! We took a divide-and-conquer approach to the sessions and were able to leave with new insights on everything from board governance to media relations to disaster planning and recovery. We even managed to find a little time before the conference started to explore the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library & Museum and loved searching for the Habitat artifacts! The best part of the conference was of course connecting with affiliates from across the USA and beyond and we look forward to taking what we learned and bringing it back to our work in the Sunshine State!

Habitat Florida is closely monitoring Hurricane Isaias and its potential impacts across the state. Our thoughts are with the communities in the storm’s path, and we stand ready to support our Florida affiliates as they assess needs and navigate recovery in the aftermath of the storm.

Together, we remain committed to building resilient communities and ensuring our network is prepared to respond when disaster strikes.

🌴 Quiet hurricane season so far? That doesn’t mean it’s time to let your guard down.

September marks the peak of hurricane season, making now a great time to make sure you and your family are prepared. Take a few minutes to review your hurricane plan, check your emergency supplies, know your evacuation zone and make sure you have a way to receive weather alerts.

Habitat Florida is going global! 🌎✨

Last week, we were excited to welcome our friends from Habitat Guatemala to our office for a chance to connect, learn, and celebrate the incredible impact of our partnership.

We heard more about the work happening in Guatemala, the exciting goals ahead, and celebrated the success of our statewide tithe efforts, which raised more than $828,000! We also talked about what’s next, including upcoming team builds in Guatemala!🏡❤️

Different countries. One shared mission. Endless possibilities. 🌎🤝
