Heads up: Clearwater City Council is meeting on 8/20 to discuss the pending Manatee protection zone in our Creek. There are existing slow speed signs in the Creek that need to be removed soas to prevent confusion; the timing of that removal is important. Do not be concerned to see any public notices that talk about signage being removed. It is clearing the path for better Manatee protection signage.

Public Comments Needed by August 19...It passed all other agencies. S T O P I T H E R E .
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is accepting public comments on the multi-dock project in Stevenson Creek. setting a new precedent for multi-dock marinas where only single docks have existed and manatee thrive! (learn more StevensonCreek.org) PLEASE ACT and focus comments on issues the Corps considers, such as:
• who will pay to dredge after sediment accumulates and channel is not passable?
* wildlife impacts - like to the 250+manatee reported (that's those that were SEEN)
• Navigation and boating safety
• Water quality and habitat
• Cumulative impacts of additional docks if this NEW precedent is set
• Whether the project is truly in the public interest for these private docks

Please send your comments by August 19 to:
