Looking for a playground that actually works for your child this summer? Here are two worth knowing about right here in Pinellas County.
Boca Ciega Millennium Park in Seminole and John Chesnut Sr. Park in Palm Harbor both have inclusive playgrounds built for kids of all abilities, ages 2 to 12. They feature rubber safety surfaces, ADA-accessible equipment, and sensory-friendly elements like musical components and interactive, exploratory features.
Both parks also have restrooms, picnic shelters, and plenty of open space. Free admission. Open daily, 7 a.m. to dusk.
Boca Ciega Millennium Park: 12410 74th Ave. N., Seminole
John Chesnut Sr. Park: 2200 East Lake Road, Palm Harbor
