Melody's Closet of Tampa Bay

It is with a heavy, but grateful heart that I must announce Melody's Closet closing.

Over the past 3-4 years, Melody's Closet provided quality plus size clothing to over 60 women of size in the Tampa Bay area who were experiencing financial hardship. Our personal shoppers helped our participants to feel empowered and confident in their new clothes by providing fashion tips, makeovers, and much needed prayer when asked.

A huge thank you goes to Palm Harbor's Clothes Mentor Store and the Tampa Bay Bariatric Center who provided much of the clothing we offered our participants. Also, a huge thank you to our volunteer personal shoppers, and everyone who donated their time, clothes, accessories and monies, to Melody's Closet. We would also like to thank Open Door Church of Palm Harbor, FL for housing Melody's Closet as a ministry since 2013.

Though we are closing our doors, all clothing, shoes, accessories, etc... were donated to the Women on the Way program housed at five of the St. Pete College campuses throughout Pinellas County. They had a major deficit of plus size clothes for their professional and student participants in need. In that way, Melody's Closet mission continues.

What a blessing Melody's Closet has been to so many people and will continue to be through Women on the Way!

Hello all! This is a quick announcement about Melody's Closet in May. Because the fourth Saturday falls on Memorial Day weekend, we are rescheduling the closet for Saturday May 21, 2016. If you would like to make an appointment please visit www.melodyscloset.org. The appointment will still read May 28th, choose that day, but know that it will be on the 21st. We will email you with the time. We've got the clothes if you have the need!

YAY!!! Today we were blessed by Open Door Church! We sent word that we are in need of jewelry for the ladies who visit the closet. Open Door Church donated $100 to us to use at the Holy Trinity Thrift Store in Palm Harbor and wow did we make good use of that donation. Did I mention they are having a huge 60% off sale! Pics to come later, we just wanted to say THANK YOU Open Door Church!!!

We had another WONDERFUL Melody's Closet this past Saturday. We were able to help four young ladies find clothing and shoes as they are now preparing for job interviews. There was prayer, tears, laughter, and plenty of posing for the camera!

We praise God for allowing Melody's Closet to be a service ministry. Look at a few pics, these women looked and felt great!
