Registration for our annual turkey distribution opens on October 19th. Supplies are limited, please register early. Registration will close on November 13th, or while supplies last.

Families in need can receive a free turkey and fixings- one per household.

A postcard will be sent to you in the mail and will serve as your ticket. It will include date, your specific pick-up time and location.

We are so blessed to have so many in our community with servant hearts willing to volunteer their time with us. This week they helped us serve 168 families representing 551 individuals at our Mobile Food Pantry, providing those facing food insecurity with nourishment.

Thank you to our own Lt. Sadie Glick for her work with The Salvation Army Panama City during Hurricane Isaias recovery. We are humbled to have had her chosen to deploy with the EDS team from the Tampa area.

This week, a local bakery owner in Freeport brought a tray of delicious sweets to our RRU (Rapid Response Unit) team. Her bakery is right across the street, and after watching our team serve the community all week, she wanted to say thank you for being a blessing to her community. 🥹🙏

To this sweet soul, thank you for reminding us that while we are out serving others, our community is cheering us on, too!

It takes a community coming together to make a difference, and we are so grateful for every act of kindness, every prayer, and every helping hand along the way.

Together, we are showing up for our neighbors and being a blessing to one another. ❤️

Come out to Pier 60 on October 16, 2026, to listen to our Southern Staff Band perform. They will be performing from 5:00pm to 6:30pm, weather permitting. If you can't join us then, there will be a Centennial Celebration Concert at the Corps on Belcher at 7:00pm on Saturday October 17th. All 3 brass classes from our School of Music will have the opportunity to play with the Staff Band.
If you would like to play with band, they are holding an open rehearsal for Brass and Percussion at 2:30pm on Saturday. Come on out, enjoy some great music and a bit of fellowship.

A story of hope & faith in Pensacola...

❤️ GOD WILL PROVIDE! A BEAUTIFUL STORY OF FAITH IN THE MIDST OF DISASTER

At a morning briefing this week, right before the final prayer, a volunteer shared a beautiful story that reminded us all of the power of faith, prayer, and God's provision.

Our Salvation Army canteen team from Melbourne was out serving meals to families impacted by the hurricane. With gas stations difficult to access, the team was running dangerously low on diesel fuel. They were concerned about whether they would have enough gas to reach their destination, return to restock, and make it back in time to serve dinner.

But instead of allowing worry to take over, they prayed and placed their situation in God's hands.

While the team was at their feeding location, Mayor Ben Boutwell of Century, Florida, stopped by to volunteer with the food distribution. One of our dedicated volunteers shared the fuel concern with the Mayor in general conversation, explaining that the canteen was running low on fuel and might not be able to return for the evening meal distribution.

Without hesitation, Mayor Boutwell made a few phone calls.

And shortly afterward... a fuel truck arrived and filled the canteen's tank! ❤️

What a blessing!

Because of this act of kindness and quick response, our team was able to continue its mission of bringing meals, hope, and compassion to families in need.

As our volunteer shared this story during our morning gathering, he reminded us of something especially meaningful during times of disaster.

When we face uncertainty, when resources seem limited, and when we don't know how things will work out, we must remember to trust God. He knows our needs, and He will provide.

Sometimes God's provision comes through the kindness of others, through people willing to step forward and help when help is needed most.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who continues to support The Salvation Army's disaster relief efforts.

During difficult times, stories like this remind us that we are not serving alone. ❤️

We’ve already opened volunteer registration for our Kettle Bell ringing this year! Funds raised from our Red Kettle Campaign helps provide emergency financial assistance, rent and utility support, food assistance, disaster relief, and other essential services for local families facing difficult times.

We encourage businesses, churches, civic organizations, schools, families, friends and individuals can sign up to ring at one of our Publix or Walmart locations in Clearwater & Upper Pinellas County.
