We were thrilled to host our current recipients, their families, and generous donors at our annual College Fund Holiday Party!🎄✨

This special gathering is the one time each year when our scholars, board members, donors, and community friends come together in one place to celebrate academic achievement and share in the spirit of the season.

We were blessed by a moving invocation from Anona United Methodist Church's Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Latricia Scriven and inspired by an uplifting keynote from her husband, Darryl Scriven. We also had the honor of recognizing several individuals whose dedication has helped make the College Fund the impactful organization it is today.

As we close out the year, we are filled with gratitude for our community and the lives we are able to touch together. Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful holiday season and a happy, healthy New Year! 🎉

We’re proud to highlight Alyssa Austin, a current recipient of our scholarship and student at the University of Florida with a degree in Sports Management.

With support from the College Fund of Pinellas County, Alyssa has been able to focus fully on her education. She said the scholarship we provide has “ allowed [her] to focus on [her] schooling, allowing [her] to get a 4-year degree in 2 years.” Beyond the financial support, she said she also appreciated the sense of connection.

While at UF, Alyssa interned with the UF Athletic Association as a sports social media intern, covering countless Gator sporting events, including the basketball national championship game, an experience she calls one of the highlights of her undergraduate career. She looks forward to graduating later this year!

Alyssa’s achievements reflect her determination, focus, and the power of community support to help students reach their goals. Join us in congratulating Alyssa on her achievements!

At the College Fund of Pinellas County, we provide need-based scholarships to local students, empowering them to pursue higher education and achieve their dreams, creating a lasting impact on our community. We’d like to take some time to recognize our recent graduates.

Meet Kenneth Ramsey, a Spring 2025 marketing graduate from the University of Tampa. While in college, Kenneth served as president of one of the top 4% of collegiate chapters of the American Marketing Association and completed three internships spanning the scope of digital marketing.

He told us, “[the scholarship] greatly eased the weight that pursuing a college education would have had on our family.”

We are pleased to share that this summer, Kenneth plans to begin a full-time role at Medbridge later as a Creative Brand Strategist. We are incredibly proud of Kenneth and his accomplishments!

At the College Fund of Pinellas County, we love celebrating the hard work and determination of our scholarship recipients as they reach for their goals and build their futures. 🎉

We’re proud to recognize Steven Issari, a recent graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a bachelor’s degree in Health Science and a minor in Healthcare Administration.

Steven graduated in December and has been actively pursuing opportunities in medical and pharmaceutical sales, as well as healthcare administration. While applying to jobs in his field, he continues to work at Publix where he is transitioning into the pharmacy department to build relevant experience and also as a server.

Steven’s dedication, persistence, and willingness to take on new challenges exemplify the determination it takes to reach the next level. We look forward to seeing all he accomplishes as he begins this next chapter!
