🌟 Washington Leadership Conference Bound! 🌟

Lilly Steiner and Avery Blubaugh arrived in Washington, D.C., yesterday afternoon to begin their experience at the Washington Leadership Conference (WLC)! 🇺🇸💙💛

Their journey started bright and early, with Mrs. Van Allen dropping them off at the Kansas City airport at 5:15a.m. for their flight to our nation's capital.

The Washington Leadership Conference inspires FFA members to become changemakers in their communities. Throughout the week, participants explore leadership principles through the unique backdrop of our nation's capital, focusing on exploration, encouragement, advocacy, and service. Members will engage in hands-on learning experiences, build connections with fellow FFA members from across the country, and develop a Living to Serve Plan they can bring home and implement in their own communities.

We are proud of Lilly and Avery for representing our chapter at this incredible leadership opportunity and look forward to hearing about their experiences when they return.

State Convention Day 3-
We wrapped up our time at K-State yesterday with some special recognitions! Clearwater FFA was recognized as a GOLD chapter in the state, Avery received her State FFA Degree, and we presented our innovative idea in Strengthening Agriculture at the Blue & Gold Conclave.

It was a fantastic year for our chapter and we are looking forward to continuing to grow and ELEVATE Clearwater FFA!

Day 2 - State FFA Convention
We had a busy day yesterday between sessions, the AgTalk: Speak Up for Agriculture workshop, and being recognized as a State Innovative Idea in Strengthening Agriculture for our corn plot!

State FFA Convention - Day 1

We made it to Manhattan to kick off Kansas FFA Convention! Avery & Wyatt C. represented our chapter as delegates, we participated in the Career Fair, National Day of Service and the Opening Session!

While many students are relaxing these last few days of school, these FFA Leaders have been in virtual National Chapter Interviews! We are so proud of their dedication and commitment to our chapter and could not be more proud to have them representing Clearwater FFA on the state level! 💙💛

Another great day representing agriculture! 🌾🐄🚜

Junior Clearwater FFA members had the opportunity to assist the Sedgwick County Farm Bureau at Klausmeyer Farm with an educational event for 2nd grade students from Apollo Elementary in Goddard. Students rotated through activities and learned more about agriculture, farming practices, livestock, and the importance of agriculture in their everyday lives.

We are proud of our FFA members for stepping up to teach younger students about the water cycle! It is so fun to help share the story of agriculture in a fun and engaging way!

We would also like to congratulate Lilly, Wyatt, and Avery on being selected as Sedgwick County Farm Bureau Ag Ambassadors for the upcoming school year! We are excited to see you continue to advocate for agriculture and represent Clearwater FFA so well. 🌟

What a great year at the State FFA Career Development Events! We are incredibly proud of our members and the progress our teams have made.

After only two years of experience in FFA, our students are continuing to grow stronger and are learning the hard work, time, and dedication it takes to be successful in FFA contests. Every practice, competition, and experience is helping build confidence, leadership, and teamwork.

We are excited for the future and look forward to gaining even more experience while continuing to grow and find success together. The best is yet to come for Clearwater FFA! 💙💛
