Our Scouts had a great time participating in the “Look Up!” Scout workshop at The Florida Aquarium this morning!

“What has wings, a beak, and hollow bones? Birds of course. Come learn about our feathered friends that call Florida home. Scouts will practice their birding skills through games and exploration.”

Afterwards, everyone got to explore the aquarium at their own pace and visit favorite exhibits, like the touch tanks!

Our Scouts had an amazing morning out on the water with First Mate Academy working on their fishing adventures!! 🎣🚤



Best of all?? This adventure was completely paid for by our popcorn fundraising!!

June 1st is officially the start of a new Scouting Year!

Our Parents and Leaders met a few weeks ago to start planning next year's calendar and it's shaping up to be another action packed year full of Scouting fun!

It’s hard to believe that another Scouting year has drawn to an end already! So proud of all of these Scouts who celebrated earning their rank and thankful to the amazing parents, leaders, and volunteers who help to make it happen.

Our weekly meetings will pause over the summer, but we still have lots of fun activities planned to keep the Scouts engaged.

Thanks so much to City of Oldsmar’s Mayor Katie Gannon for talking to our Webelos Den this evening! As part of their My Community Adventure, the scouts had to learn about majority and plurality types of voting, speak to someone elected to their position, and learn about the type of voting used in their election and why.

During their hour conversation, the Scouts learned so much about the election process and how cities operate. Afterwards, they led the room in the Pledge of Allegiance before the City Council Meeting began.

We’re proud to be the Cub Scout Pack officially serving both Oldsmar Elementary and Forest Lakes Elementary, and loved learning more how the local city government works!

Our Scouts had such a fun time exploring Brooker Creek on our recent night hike. The volunteers that led our hike were fantastic!

We played games that emphasized the importance of sonar/sound for nocturnal animals as we waited for the sun to go down. Then, once the sun dropped, we set off on a one mile hike to learn all about what night is like in the preserve for the plants and animals that call it home.

Thanks so much to the members of the Clearwater Coast Guard Air Station for having our Pack out to tour your facilities. The Scouts absolutely loved exploring the aircraft and learning any what it takes to be a rescue swimmer!!

Another camping weekend in the books! It’s always a fun experience to camp in the infield of Daytona International Speedway, and this year we went fishing while watching the races as well.

Big thanks to Cindy and the other amazing volunteers from the Tampa Bay Mineral and Science Club for helping our Webelos Scouts earn their Earth Rocks Adventure.

Science is so much more fun with hands on learning from people who are passionate about what they’re teaching!!
