Yesterday I had the honor to visit the 2nd grade class at St. Cecelia School, my old stompin’ ground. When I entered the office to check in, the receptionist asked if I have ever been there before. My answer, “Yes, 1958 was my initial visit when I started first grade here.” I didn’t go into how many years I taught at SCS. You can only imagine her face. After giving her my driver’s license and first-born child, she gave me the go ahead.

Each year the 2nd grade class does the “Empty Bowl Project”. They make clay bowls, sell them, and donates the proceeds to a hunger relief organization. Last year, they voted to donate the funds to Corinne’s Food Pantry. This year, the vote was the same.

Their teacher asked if I would come and tell the children about the pantry and accept the check.

The proceeds were $1,340.00! Thank you to Andrea W., art teacher, Wendy P., classroom teacher and all the generous hard-working students.

The final numbers are now in for the 2026 Dave & Jan Vosen Memorial Golf Tournament for the benefit of Corinne’s Food Pantry! All I can say, (without going into long stories, which I tend to do) is I have no doubt there are angels among us because they always seem to show up at the right time. The profit this year is $21,104.30! That is $65.71 more than last year.

The words “Thank You” are not adequate enough to express our gratitude to all who have made this possible. These funds will help provide for so many in need.

Today I was able to sort through all the food donations received at the tournament for that free Mulligan! As you can see, the pantry is sparse and those donations came just in time for next week's distributions.

Thank you for the devotion and the beautiful spirit brought to the event. Your contributions, participation and sponsorships are a blessing to all 💖.

Another successful Dave & Jan Vosen Memorial Golf Tournament, for the benefit of Corinne’s Food Pantry, in the books! I’m still waiting for a couple invoices and will post when the final figure is available.

A shout out to all who participated in some way to make this tournament so successful. We could not do it without our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, Clearwater Country Club management and staff members, board members, and anyone I may have left out.

It’s a lot of work but well worth the rewards. The proceeds will allow the pantry to provide for those in our community who need assistance with food and basic essentials.

Corinne's Food Pantry was fortunate to be a sponsor at the Volunteers of America of Florida Impact Breakfast. Since partnering with Innovare in St. Petersburg we have been able to reach so many people. It's definitely a "match made in Heaven". Thank you to Innovare for allowing us to serve your community.

Another successful food drive gathering in the books! A shoutout to Casey and Chrisi at One Amazing Find in Tarpon Springs for hosting the event. If you are not familiar with this unique shop, it’s worth the trip to Tarpon. Fellowship, refreshments, door prizes, and a pleasing and delightful shopping experience.

Corinne’s Food Pantry benefited from the food donations from all the generous attendees.
