Well this happened today!!!!
Clearwater DAR Chapter decorated the:
Clearwater Memorial Causeway bridge
statues the Spirit of the American Doughboy and the Spirit of the American Navy. Originally dedicated in 1927 to honor WWI veterans for Memorial Day! Thank you City of Clearwater for assisting us❤️🇺🇸👏🏻

Well we ended our year with the most amazing and touching meeting. We honored our two departed sisters.
We welcomed 8 new members(8),3 on zoom. we gave $2000.00 in scholarships and we honored and gave the History Teacher Certificate and 250.00 to a Clearwater High History teacher. We gave appreciation to our New Registrar Patty Wirth who got us 25 new members since Dec. Wow, right? We also honored our Librarian and Celebrate Daughters chair Gregory Lord. Gregory brought us the History Teacher and helped us win the NSDAR VOWS award for 40,0000 for Homeless Empowerment.

Clearwater’s speaker for April’s meeting was interviewed on Baynews 9. We are mentioned and a clip of him at our meeting was in the news.

John Humphreys, a homeschooled high school junior, has achieved the ranks of Eagle Scout, Sea Scouts Quartermaster and Venturing Summit.

Clearwater Chapter proudly supports Homeless Empowerment and share that our request for NSDAR to grant them the VOWS $40,000 award for women veterans housing was approved. Below is a picture of Founder Barbara Green at Continental Hall in DC receiving her grant. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Clearwater Chapter is honored and thrilled to help HEP of Clearwater. We are also honored that NSDAR also recognized all their support for female homeless veterans. ❤️

On Saturday, HEP Founder Barb Green and President & CEO Ashley Lowery traveled to Washington D.C. to attend a National Society Daughters of the American Revolution ceremony, where they proudly accepted the NSDAR Vivian’s Outreach to Women Award - a national recognition! This award will allow HEP to better serve female Veterans by delivering the stability, independence, and dignity that female Veterans deserve. With this incredible support, more female Veterans can access the housing and services needed to build stable, independent futures. Thank you to the Daughters of the American Revolution National Headquarters, as well as the Clearwater Chapter NSDAR for their advocacy and support of HEP.
