Inspired by our own journey, we provide support, resources, and community connection to bring comfort and strength during the hardest days. Bee the Hope is a Utah-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting families facing pediatric cancer. We provide financial support, care packages, sibling support, and moments of comfort to ensure no family feels alone during their hardest days. Our goal
is to fill in the gaps where support otherwise does not exist. We aim to offer as much support and joy possible. Our mission is to bring encouragement, connection, and strength to parents, children, and siblings as they navigate the challenges of treatment and recovery. Together, we believe small acts of kindness can create lasting hope. Bee the Hope was born from our family’s own journey with pediatric cancer. In 2021, our oldest daughter, then just 13, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). After seven months of intensive inpatient treatment, she rang the bell in early 2022. Eighteen months later, during what we thought was a routine check, we learned her cancer had returned. This second battle required a bone marrow transplant and intensive chemotherapy. Severe complications left her on a ventilator for five weeks, with only a 20% chance of survival. Against all odds, she pulled through, and in February 2024, she rang the bell again. Although she has made an incredible recovery, like so many pediatric cancer survivors continues to face lasting effects from treatment. And as a family, we learned firsthand how overwhelming the journey can be: emotionally, financially, and mentally. We are here to provide strength, comfort, and support to families walking the same difficult road, so that no one has to face pediatric cancer alone. Together, we can be the hope. 🐝💛
