SUNSET BLVD centers around a struggling pl***oy, Joe Gillis, who can't catch a break as a Hollywood screenwriter. While on the run from repo men attempting to seize his car, Joe stumbles onto a once lavish but now dilapidated mansion. The owner of the mansion is Norma Desmond, a has-been former silent film star who has been long forgotten by the film industry. Joe becomes enthralled by Norma's eccentricity, and the two begin a torrid affair. Complications arise when Joe falls in love with a young screenwriter, Betty Schaefer (who happens to be engaged to Joe's longtime friend, Artie).

SUNSET BLVD is a story of loss, love, and the realities of aging, and the inevitable loneliness of being forgotten as time moves forward. It's funny, tragic, and full of beautiful music. This show contains strobing lights, brief violence, and mild language.

CAST is looking for some NEW BLOOD! 🩸✨

Auditions for The Woman in Black will be held:
📍 Saturday, June 6 at Noon on the CAST stage
📍 Sunday, June 7 at Noon in the CAST Dance Studio

🗓 Performances run October 23–31.

We are seeking:
🎬 Two male actors between the ages of 25–65
🔦 LOTS of behind-the-scenes help and technical crew members!

This production will rely heavily on technical theater elements including:
💡 Lighting
🔊 Sound effects
🪚 Set construction
👗 Costuming
🎥 Special effects
…and more!

No experience? No problem! This is a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about theater production and getting involved at CAST for the very first time. We are especially hoping to welcome some new faces who may have always been curious about what happens behind the curtain.

For those auditioning, simply come prepared to read from the script and interact with others auditioning. No prepared monologue is required.

Experienced production staff will be there to teach, guide, and share their knowledge throughout the process.

If you’ve ever wanted to try community theater but weren’t sure acting was for you, this is the show to jump into!

CAST is now accepting Friends of the Production donations and production insert advertisements for Sunset Boulevard.

Individuals, businesses, and organizations may become Friends of the Production with a donation of $20 or more. Your name will be listed in the official show insert distributed to audience members throughout the production run. ❤️

Quarter page advertisements are also available for $60. Ads measure 4.5 inches wide by 2 inches high.

Space in the insert is limited, and all ads and donations must be received by June 3.
