Former District Magistrate Richard Ireland donated a book of negatives and photographs to the Clearfield County Historical Society that offers a fascinating glimpse into Clearfield County’s past. Mr. Ireland discovered the book in a dumpster at the old County Home while taking trash out from his office, shortly before the building was demolished.
We extend our sincere thanks to Mr. Ireland for recognizing the historical importance of this collection, preserving it, and sharing it with the community. Thanks to his efforts, future generations will have the opportunity to look back in time and explore the rich history of Clearfield County.
