Kelly spends her days caring for North Iowa children. Now she’s stepping up for them in a whole new way—and risking a kiss with a pig while she’s at it!

Kelly is a pediatric nurse practitioner at MercyOne Pediatric & Adolescent Clinic in Clear Lake. She and her husband, Ben, are raising their four children—Owen, Hadley, Ella and Henry—in the community they are proud to call home.

When she isn’t caring for patients or cheering on her kids, Kelly enjoys lake and boating days, outdoor adventures and a quiet cup of coffee—most likely from Livonia’s. ☕️

Kelly believes the North Iowa Children’s Museum will be much more than a fun place to visit:

🌟 WELCOME TO THE BOARD, Jessica Wood!

We’re excited to introduce the newest member of the North Iowa Children’s Museum Board of Directors!

Jessica has called Clear Lake home for more than 10 years. She owns and operates local vacation rentals and rental properties and is also the owner of Charlie’s Soda Fountain. 🍨

Jessica and her husband, Austin, have two children, Bauer and Charlie. Their family enjoys hiking, biking, traveling, hockey, soccer and piano. When she finds a little time for herself, Jessica enjoys Pilates, visiting the Clear Lake Athletics & Wellness Center, walking her dog and spending time with family.

Jessica’s passion for the museum’s mission is rooted in her love for this region:

“I’m passionate about making North Iowa a place where more people want to put down roots and raise their families—and a destination families are excited to visit!”

Her entrepreneurial experience, family-focused perspective and enthusiasm for Clear Lake will be wonderful assets as we work toward building a permanent children’s museum for North Iowa.
