Experimental Image Lab Intensive
September 30 - November 4 , 2026

Experimental Image Lab is an immersive studio course introducing students to a range of contemporary mixed media processes that challenge traditional approaches to drawing and collage. Through structured studio investigations, participants explore image transfer, layering, abrasion, staining, collage, and surface manipulation while discovering how materials can transform an image. As the course progresses, the emphasis shifts from learning individual techniques to developing a personal creative process through experimentation and sustained studio practice. Students complete a series of experimental studies and finished works while strengthening technical skills, visual decision-making, and confidence in their own artistic voice.
