Our boy Cornelius Corndog stole a lot of attention yesterday while we were making our rounds in the wagon.
His feet are not structured for long walk, so he got to jump in his chair and wow the crowd.

Unfortunately , nobody filled out an application for him. 😒😒😒😒😒😒
Although he was working his magic on the alameda county sheriff, to be their next K9 Dog. Of course , he would not be in the field he would be working from home.....lol

❤️ WHAT. A. DAY. ❤️

Yesterday at Humane’s Bark & Meow was absolutely incredible! 🐾

We are EXHAUSTED, our feet hurt, our voices are gone … but seeing 8 dogs and 3 cats find their forever homes made every single minute worth it!

🎉 HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to our newly adopted animals:

🐶 Andromeda (Andi),
Lea, Mama Godiva, Kit Kat, Hershey, Reese’s, Mario, and Alfred.

🐱 DJ Kaskade, DJ Deorro and Biscotti

Seeing these babies leave with their new families is exactly why we do what we do. Some have waited longer than others, some came to us with difficult beginnings, but yesterday they all got the ending we had been hoping for. ❤️

And NONE of this happens without our incredible volunteers.

From the early morning setup, hauling tents and kennels, caring for animals, talking with potential adopters, keeping everything organized, and then packing it ALL back up after a very long day—you SHOWED UP for us. 💪🐾

Days like yesterday truly take a village, and we are so incredibly grateful for ours.

Congratulations to all of our babies and their new families! Here is to the beginning of your happily ever afters. 🏡🐾

Reintroducing Winnie
She is adorable......

Winnie
She is a 4 year old female Frenchie approximately 25 lbs.
She is a special needs girl due to her recent surgery on her ears due to severe neglect. Yes, she has no ears. She cannot hear words, however sometimes if I clap she'll turn her head.

She is a happy girl who loves people. She has been exposed to children. For those of you who remember she was adopted to a wonderful family, I do not have one negative thing to say about that and no one should.

Overtime, Winnie became mean to their resident female dog, and I mean mean. Sometimes girls can be snarky to other girls. It got to the point that the whole family was in chaos and the other dog was afraid all the time. After many interventions the painfull call was made to us and I talked the family into her being returned to us. The right thing to do was to find her a new home. That's one benefit you get when you adopt from a good rescue, we take our dogs back.
Now when Winnie came to my home, she did the exact same thing she did in her home, so was not an environmental issue or something the family was doing wrong. In fact , she has had issues with most of the dogs in my house....... and the trigger....... Is me.
So at this point in time we are insisting that she goes into a home with no other animals..... Because it's not if she will go after the other dog..... It's when. How is this pint size girl creating so much havoc.......lol

Cornelius 4 years (aka Cornwall at CCC and I call him Corndog) is available for adoption.
45lb lowrider bulldoggie mix

Medically and behaviorally cleared.
Since Corn Dog moved in, he is trying so hard to find a friend here. None of the girls will play with him.

He is a playful guy who really wants a friend to play with however, due to the structure of his body because of really irresponsible breeding, he is not one to go on long walks. If you look at his feet, they're like weeble wobbles on the bottom and they're not meant for a lot of cement travel. Also if you look at him, it almost looks like he's walking on his wrists. We see a lot of this with the bullies due to really irresponsible breeding and also because these animals have been kenneled most of their lives , and they never developed the muscles in their feet. I think corn dog is a victim of both combined.

If you are someone that wants an imperfectly perfect doggy: he might be the one for you.

🚨 FOSPICE HOME NEEDED FOR TATER TOT 🚨
Please help us find this special boy the right place to land. ❤️‍🩹🐾

Tater Tot is only 6 months old and is considered fospice (foster/hospice) because he has mild hydrocephalus and renal dysplasia.

The difficult reality is that we don't know what his future holds. His kidney disease means his life could be shorter than we'd ever want—but he could also have several happy years ahead of him. Right now, Tater Tot doesn't know he's different. He's busy doing exactly what a 6-month-old puppy should be doing: playing, learning, exploring and enjoying life. ❤️

His current fosters absolutely adore him, but as Tater Tot has grown, he's become too big and rambunctious for their small elderly dogs. They love him enough to recognize that it's time to find a foster home that's a better fit for everyone.

And honestly… Tater Tot is a pretty awesome puppy. 🥔❤️

- Active, smart and FUN
-Loves fetch, squeaky toys and balls
-Knows “look at me,” sit, shake & down
-Very food motivated and loves training
-Doing great with potty training
-Walks well on leash
-Loves car rides and adventures
-Loves adults and kids
-Especially loves playing with medium-sized dogs
- Sleeps in a puppy corral at night and settles well with toys and something to chew

Tater Tot's ideal fospice home:
An active household with another medium-sized playful dog would be amazing. Because he's still a rambunctious puppy, a home with toddlers, very young children, small dogs or elderly dogs would NOT be the right fit.

This isn't an adoption. We are looking for someone willing to open their home and heart to a special-needs puppy and give him the best life possible for however much time he has.

Tater Tot isn't sitting around waiting to be sick.

He is busy being a puppy. ❤️
We just need someone willing to let him keep doing that.

We are bringing some seriously adorable kitties to Berkeley Humane’s Bark & Meow this Saturday, August 29! These babies are ready to find their forever families. 🏡

These brilliant little brothers are playful, affectionate, and packed with kitten energy! They love chasing toys, wrestling, treats, and hanging out with the resident cats in their foster home.

JOY ELIZABETH
About 1½ years old

After lovingly raising five beautiful kittens, it’s FINALLY Joy’s turn to be someone’s baby. ❤️

Joy is affectionate, playful, easygoing, and loves people. She enjoys lounging by the window, playing with her toys, and spending time with other cats. She would also be okay with respectful, cat-friendly dogs.

She truly is the total package. 🥹

SAROO — TINY KITTEN, HUGE PERSONALITY!
DOB: 4/17/26

Saroo was found all alone in the middle of the road and rescued by a Good Samaritan. Since arriving in foster care, this fearless little guy has been running the house like he owns it.

He LOVES to run, jump, wrestle cats twice his size, and unleash some serious zoomies. Then, when he's finally worn himself out, he turns into the sweetest little snuggle bug.

His favorite cuddle buddy? Joy Elizabeth, his surrogate mama and best friend. ❤️

Saroo would love a home with another playful, cat-friendly kitty who can be his wrestling partner, best friend, and cuddle buddy.

🍑 HOW IS THIS SWEET GEORGIA PEACH STILL WAITING FOR HER PERSON?!

Meet Georgia — A girl who came heartbreakingly close to never getting the chance to find her happily ever after.

This sweet 2-year-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix was at CCAS and moments from the euthanasia list when we rescued her just in time.

We may never know her full past, but one thing is clear: she just wants to love and be loved.

Georgia hates kennels and wants to be with her people snuggled on the couch, in your lap, or in bed. She is also up for adventures like walks, car rides, and exploring.

🐾 Good with dogs, cats & respectful kids
🐾 Loves companionship (especially other dogs) Will need a friend in order to thrive.
