This communique was recently received from our CCSSMM project founder and director:
"Dear CCSSMM Team,
I just watched this latest video of Proyecto Juda which I think is their year end concert. This is the best Christmas gift I could have received and I hope you will agree! God is SO GOOD. This amazing journey we have all been on together has been so fruitful and I am overjoyed with how music has changed the lives of these children. Proyecto Juda has been in full operation for two full years now. THANK YOU to all of you for your part in this!
Elida just completed teacher training for books 3 & 4 in El Salvador, and will be completing book 2 in Guatemala later this month. This is a huge accomplishment given time, financial, and transportation constraints, but she is making it work. She is struggling to finance on her own, but CRM is helping too. She is making great contacts within SAA, earned a scholarship, and is currently the only Suzuki trained teacher in Honduras.
This program has not been without it's "bumps" and is still on precarious ground in many ways, but we know it can be done and must survive! St. Matthew has committed to a huge portion of financial support for which we can be very grateful, but more is needed! Your continued help is much appreciated. I still dream of finding a permanent benefactor! That person is out there somewhere, so just share this good news with everyone you can and help us find "our person"!
I miss you all!
With Gratitude and Joy!
Laurie
