Tomorrow is the main event of Dino Days, and tonight I find myself reflecting on everything that goes into making something like this happen.
For months, there have been meetings, phone calls, planning sessions, sponsorship requests, volunteer hours, setup days, and countless details that most people never see. So many people have poured their time, energy, and hearts into bringing Dino Days to life. The Herzstein Memorial Museum, CUCEDP, our sponsors, volunteers, vendors, entertainers, community partners, and supporters have all played a part in making this weekend possible.
This is our third year bringing Dino Days back to Clayton, and every year we do it because we believe our community deserves opportunities to gather, make memories, celebrate our unique history, and simply enjoy being together.
The truth is, events like this only continue when people show up. Sponsorships make them possible, but community participation is what makes them successful. Every person who attends, shops with a vendor, enters an activity, enjoys the music, or simply spends the day with us helps ensure events like this can continue in our small town.
Clayton is home to some of the most remarkable history in New Mexico. We are proud of it, proud of its history, and proud to be part of a community that still comes together to make special things happen.
So tomorrow, we hope you’ll join us. Bring your family, invite your friends, and come celebrate with us. Let’s make another great Dino Days memory together.
Thank you for supporting your community. 💚
