SUNDAY, SEPT 6: LBCA is hosting its last Summer Vibes Concert of the season, featuring The Entertainers Band. The concert will be held from 6:30 pm - dark, followed by a fireworks show by Lake Burton Fireworks.

Both events are free and open to the public. Join the festivities on Lake Burton and celebrate Labor Day weekend with us!

Labor Day Weekend on Lake Burton offers family and friends the chance to rest from their hard work, honor the labor of hardworking people across the country, and bid farewell to the summer season.

LBCA-sponsored activities on Sunday, September 6 are the Wooden Boat Parade and the Summer Vibes Concert, featuring The Entertainers. The concert will be followed by fireworks.

The Rabun County Board of Commissioners voted “to exhaust all avenues to protect Rabun County resources” during a special called meeting on Friday, Aug. 21 at 9 a.m.
Demorest City Council Members announced late Friday they have rescheduled a public hearing to consider a proposed eminent domain proceeding for the purposes of expanding its water system to Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 6 p.m. at the Demorest Municipal Conference Center and Court, 250 Alabama Street, Demorest, Ga.

Marsha Janofsky has been making memories on Lake Burton since her childhood. She credits her father's vision and willingness to make the sacrifices necessary to build a for his family and invest in generations to come.
